wow my RE 5 has like 1 sec loading screens without installing it to my HD. Awesome.

Same here. I love how they have so much backstory written for the loading screens but I don't ever have time to read any of them.

So much better when the channel was ZDTV and it was Gamespot TV way back.

The flamethrower is just about the most satisfying weapon I have seen yet in a game. Really makes the Helgast suffer...

I ended up picking up the game on PS3 and didn't think that the issues were as bad as was said in the review. I didn't notice all of the major graphical glitches, like the missing textures, etc. The shorter draw distance is not really noticeable.

However, I did experience gameplay glitches on several occasions. Several times my character would get stuck around stuff-on top of debris or stuck behind desks and would have to restart. Also on at least a dozen occasions my system locked up during loading sequences between areas and, again, would have to restart and replay sections.

It is a pretty good game, especially since it was a launch title. The online is also quite solid. I never had any issues with it. Too bad you weren't looking back when Samsclub was closing out on it. I remember seeing it for $10 at one point last summer. Crazy.

Can't remember for sure but I think the game is street dated so stores should have it the week before to be sold on the release day. That's good that the website is shipping free for some new releases since if you pre order and pay off a game in store they will ship it out for free when it's released.

Hey I actually have that Hitachi 51" too. Love it though kinda wish I would have waited a few months and picked up a Samsung DLP for around the same price. At school I use my Samsung 19" widescreen monitor just because of the size and weight of my projection tv, it's too much of a pain to bring along for a temporary living situation, although it definately would be nice.

I think it will be more competitive with Microsoft and Sony's systems from a technical standpoint next time around. I thought that part of the reason for less powerful hardware was so that if the motion sensing idea tanked there wouldn't be a huge money loss for the R&D on all of the other new aspects. But now since the idea has caught on then it would be a worthwile decision to bring the motion controls to a very powerful system. Besides that I'm sure they will find a way to take the motion sensing features a leap forward from what they are now. Nintendo always seems to come up with some sort of innovation. I just hope they finally come out with a good online system that has large support.

While I haven't done this yet, from what I have heard the PS3 just uses a standard size laptop hard drive so it should just be a matter of popping out the old one and putting the new one in. I have the 60 gig as well with tons of demos and videos and still have plenty of space left so if you think that you'll be putting a lot of games/movies onto it then it could eventually be a good idea to upgrade. I'll probably do it if Sony starts putting full HD tv shows/movies on PSN like they have on XBOX Live. Until then the 60 is adequate for me.
