@iammcgruber: They do want to be that, but at what cost is the question. Its hard for Nintendo to compete when these companies can just throw money at their problems. Look at Xbox One. Xbox One had to release a new console to compete even though their console was very powerful. Nintendo cant do that. They dont have that kinda of money.

@crxuchilbara: No they wouldnt, it would still be all about the gameplay. Ive been playing a game from 1986 an its an amazing game.

@ZIMdoom: Splatoon was heavily advertised by Nintendo. Boxboy! is made by the Kirby team. Its an awesome game also.

@Sargoroth: Then Nintendo is not for you, Nintendo has made gimmicky consoles since day 1. Even the console you play on today was once a Nintendo gimmick made fun off by the masses.
