this is a company that had no idea why they were successful with the playstation1, they actually actually thought all this time people bought their console because of the name, who do they think they're kidding?, the only reason why playstation took off was because there was no competition at the time, and n64 had expensive development costs with the cartridge system, so developers freely through cheap cdrom games on the playstation and so it got all these games, playstation was never innovative, it never brought any superior hardware power, and was ALWAYS an expensive console

 now the rude awakening, sony actually thought YOU were going to go spend $600 on their system because of the name, now they are suffering, i say good riddance, now xbox is getting all the games, low manufacture cost and ease of development. if xbox dies i will miss them cause i will miss that xboxlive service, theres just nothing else like it, not even on pc, (broadband only gaming, everyone has voice chat, unified friends list, etc)

 i'd rather playstation just turn the lights off, and let sega get back in the industry

the good news is, atleast now ms can make a profit and stay in the business cause if they were to leave, then i'd bet most people would just go back to pc gaming

Forgot "racist"...hate because it's successful and not an american product. If you hadn't noticed all the hate comments towards japan and the japanese people themselves then you should.

I suspect racist centaments accounts for about 50% of the hating on PS prodcuts and Sony themselves.

i didnt forget, my first option says "because they are too japanese OR because they make bad products" someone who votes for that option either doesnt like the products, or dont like the race or culture of japan, or is just more patriotic toward the economics of their own country's economic success

Well, it is a bash because you're giving us 4 reasons as to why the PS3 "sucks".

well i cant think of any other reason why somebody would legitimately hate the ps3, im not going to include "because the design is awful" or "the name is bad", it has to be real reasons, and these ones seem to be the most accepted 

This isnt supposed to be a bash, but more of a analysis of the phenomenon thats known as the ps3 hate, I personally do not like sony AND i dont like the ps3 hardware, but its not blind hate, i am a disatisfied former customer who got ripped off, so i have a good reason, but there are others. 

Do you think its possible that the killzone developers are playing a "wait and see" game with bungie, to possibly steal game ideas and then add their own creativity to try and claim an overall better product?, this has happened before. 

yo, im the biggest 360 fan probably in this forum. I dont consider myself a fanboy, but i love the entire xbox concept and ms vision, i heavily dislike sonys vision. I never owned a ps2 or a ps3 so are you sure you want to call me a cow?

all systems are selling relatively poorly, especially xbox over in japan. Atleast ps3 has somewhat of an intact brand loyalty but its even failing because of the price and the reason i listed above. THE ECONOMY

 in this article i discovered today, it basically says that most young people are broke because of the economy. While they have SOME money they dont have enough to afford housing and a lot are turning to internet cafes which charge only a fraction of hotels, while still providing entertainment that most young people like, internet, mangas, tv, free soda, and even a shower.

if you think of the age group that the economy is most impacting, its not too hard to see why console sales are not spectacular. In the article it says young people "the freeters" mostly work for $8 an hour jobs and have far more priorities (like housing) to consider and housing is very expensive, especially in toko.

It turns out that the ones acquiring these console systems are either very young kids who have well off parents buy it for them. Or they have a steady career in which they excaped the bad economy trend which arent many. The freeters usually range from mid to late 20s in age.
