Anyone played the escapists games on adventuregamestudio. Six days a stranger is phenomenal. I like the Gabrial Knight series and lucasarts games, full throttle is probably the best adventure I've played but it's a bit short lived.

I've been playing the game for a few days now and haven't been able to find the drift mode that was available in the HD demo(which I deleted). My Japanese is a little rusty so I'm having trouble navigating the menus but it looks at first glance like there is no drift mode, something I assume would be there. Are there any other game modes in prologue?

Another quick question, is the lighting in the game quite dark or is it something with my tv? When new cars are revealed I can barely make them out, the London track can be hard to see in the shadows sometimes too, on the other racetracks everything looks great though.

I'd wait but I'm a little bitter at the moment, the update bricked my system and I've just spent over $100 on new games. There are great games out and some even better ones coming soon but unfortunately I'm not going to be playing anything for a few weeks.

It's up to you though, you'll be missing out on some fantastic titles for the sake of a more reliable console. I don't think there'll be a new version of the 360 until Christmas at the earliest either. 

I bought a new tv today, half of the reason was for high definition gaming, the other half was for picture and picture. Now that I've set it up though my tv won't let me have an input via the component cable on a split screen with the component cable set to HD. If I switch the cable back to standard tv it works fine.

I don't want to have the cable at Standard Definition all the time but I don't want to have to change the input type everytime I want to play a game using PAP. I have a feeling it's a problem with the tv(panasonic px600) and I was hoping someone else might have a solution to it. I'm not going to get the elite so using a hdmi is out.

There seem to be a lot of people still playing gears online just to get 10,000 kills. If that achievement wasn't in the game then the online community might be much smaller, so, as hard as it seems, maybe having some crazy oline achievements extends the lifetime of the online for everyone.

I think 5 points here and there for customization/mundane tasks is ok, the developers went to the trouble of putting these features in games and most people never bother using them. Some people might actually enjoy doing these things if they try them once.

Personally though I think achievements should make a player do things he wouldn't normally do, encourage players who are usually sneaky to try running and gunning and make players who usually just blast their way through a level slow down and plan attacks. Obviously that only applies to FPS's but I think all games could have achievements which make the player experience things they wouldn't normally.
