Hi guys. I just signed up to this place because I have serious concern.

I recently got my first PSP, a PSP 2000. I like it so far, the only thing that bothered me when I first got to try it out, was the ghosting on the screen.

I have heard a lot about the new PSP 3000. The only thing that interests me, is the screen. I read that it is said to have a double as good response time, which should reduce ghosting, and have an anti-glare screen.

I have some questions to those of you, who has tried PSP 3000.

1. Has the ghosting problem really disappeared/been minimized, or is it just gibberish?

2. How about the scanlines? Are they really as bad as a lot of people are saying it is?

3. Is the screen really more playable in the sun, or is it just a false claim from Sony?

If the new screen really is better in terms of ghosting, and the interlacing really aren't that a big problem, I would be ready to return my PSP 2000 and get the 3000 instead. I would have no problem sacrificing CFW, for a smoother screen and better anti reflection in the sun (i play on the train on my to work). Besides, CFW will come to the 3000 sooner or later.

There is no place I have been allowed to try the 3000, and the crappy videos on youtube doesn't really tell me much, so I really hope I can get some feedback from this place!

i don't know much about the ghosting problem in psp2k,koz i don't hv one. But my psp3k working just fine

scanlines aren't that bad actually,but the worst thing is that it's not playable in the sun, totally false claim..

if i were u,i'll stick to my psp2k and wait until Sony release another version of psp(PSP4000/PSP2 maybe)

if i were you,i'll get the 16gb...i think 32gb is way too much for a psp to handle...or you can buy 2 16gb's ms..hehe

me neither...mine is PSP3000(black) no problem at all...just having problem with the buttons,cos i'm not use to it...

How did you get a BLACK PSP 3000? I thought they just released the silver one with the Ratchet & Clank Entertainment Bundle...? I know they plan on releasing the black one as the Core Bundle in Decemeber, but how'd you get it already?

I am a proud owner of the PSP 3001 and I do not regret my purchase. I still can't see what people are whining about. I have no interlacing problems on any of my games so far. I think the photos that are out with the scan lines are the actual game photo blowin up about ten times that actual size of the game display. So I am absolutly fine with my PSP3001. ;)MrBz1

You need a psp slim, or psp brite (psp 2000 or psp 3000)

you most likely got the original psp, sorry you cant use skype on the original psp phat, not enough memory.

i just recently got my PSP3k ver 4.21,can i upgrade to ver5.01??

I just purchased the PSP3000 a few days ago... But i haven't bought any UMD's game yet...Not exactly satisfied with the screen..the reflection is still there... and the fingerprints of course...:(
