Ok we all know the wii, 360 and ps3 use optical discs to run their games. The wii and 360 use a dvd version of an optical disc (more or less) which hold 4-8GB roughly depending if singal or dual layered. the ps3, well it can hold 30-50Gb per blu ray disc its games are saved on.
Lets think about this for a second, the 360 and the wii both hold roughly the same amount of data per disc, and 360 games take up WAY more space for high resolution textures and higher quality what not. The PS3's graphics abilities are arguably the same as the 360s with the amount of space is required for it's high resolution textures and what not.
After considering this, this means the wii can hold a lot more game info than the 360. Games can be longer on the wii and PS3 because 1) the wii takes up way less space for its games, menaing they can be much longer games as far as new content compared to the maxim length game on a 360 if the 360 game has high resolution textures. The PS3's theoretical longest game can be much longer than the 360 even with high res textures.
Basically, because microsoft didnt have HD DVD formatted games out of the box they screwed themselves over because they cant release a new 360 with this feature and new games won HD dvd format cause ppl with older 360s wont be able to play them.
In theory wii games will exceed game content and ps3 games wil exceed game content compared to the 360.
Im looking forward to seeing the fall of the 360 in the years to come and im glad us wii owners who have been ridculed and ps3 owners who gotten the worst end of the stick will have the last laugh.
