Can anybody name even one idea that sony thought of first?

Look at the PS1 and look at the beloved dual-shock controller. The ORIGINAL dual shock did not have analog, it was basically just a ripoff of the snes controller. Take away the handles and you'll see what I mean.

Then, along came the n64 with an analog stick, which it turns out is actually a necessity for 3d gaming, so after seeing this, sony MODIFIED the dual shock to include analog, so they once again copied nintendo.

I remember laughing back when sony fanboys were bashing the gamecube controller for being a "ripoff" of the dual shock, when in actuality they were basically saying that nintendo was just ripping off themselves.

Then nintendo comes out with the motion-sensing wii-mote, and then omg sony has to come up with their own half-assed motion sensing knockoff of this technology, and to add insult they announce a new controller called the "waggle" which is literally a carbon copy ripoff of the wii-mote.

And now sony has taken to ripping off microsoft as well. Hey that hard drive idea you put on the original xbox is pretty cool, let's copy that too! OOOh! Achievements! Wow we need to put some crap like that on our console even though it wasn't available at launch!

It's no wonder the ps3 is in last place. Aside from a lousy selection of games, all their innovations are just parodies of ideas originating at microsoft and nintendo.

As for harddrive...oh man looks like they copyed MS....Not really, i mean xbox stole hardrive from computers, ipods, anything...You name it. You see u think these companies get ideas by stealing them from eachother. In reality, grow up and learn how things work, your just a little kid that doesnt understand stuff. Companies do things becasue there good ideas. I mean if sony never made the dualshock, then nintendo would dominante. Them since the joystick idea is nintendo, that would mean MS cant use it and wouldnt make a console...correct??

It seems like on these forums, whenever someone talks about the ODST, people don't seem to treat it like it's there. While the 360 fans surely a hyped for it, everyone else is pretty much pretending it doesn't exist. So what gives?

Halo 3 is the most played xbox game and one of the highest rated games, and here comes along a sort of expansion (kind of) that's going to bring a new campaign that's rather different from the halo norm, some new multiplayer maps, as well as some other good stuff according to bungie.

I'd understand if that 5 hour number ended up being the full story, but it was debunked- bungie said they it was 5 hours for the one side of gameplay and then we find out that it's going to use a hub and spoke level design (think platformers) for a first person shooter and no one is even caring? What the heck?

And it is a bungie game. This should give us an idea of what they can pull of besides halo as well. Ahh... but they'll have announced their 2010 game by then according to their podcast.

Heres the quick and easy answer. On the ps3 side, noone cares about halo. Theres no more "man i wish we had that shooter". Theres plenty of good shooters and plenty more coming. So missing ODST isnt huge...Noone cares...ITs just another game for 360 that fans of halo will play..

Thats all it really is. Many will enjoy it, i myself wont really care to play it (has i dislike halo due to regen, quick run and gun and i dislike strats of the game" However many like it and it sells alot..

Yeah its cool. I think GS review is OVERRATED. Am i jealous that its 360 exlcusive? No....If it was on PSN, would i buy it? Most likly.

Fact is, its just another game. A game that is easyly replaced by another. I mean look at halo for example. Many ps3 owners were like "AWW MAN" But then cod4 came out, and no one was like "man i wanna buy me a xbox for some haloz".

Same for MGS4, my 360 fans were jealous...but a few months later...the hype ran out...

I swear I just got done from playing a little while ago. I am the last man on my team running to kill commandos at their extraction and guess what happens. I get kicked like usual. I used to be a huge fan of Socom, but this last game is a love/hate relationship kind of thing. I have had very few games with good teammates, but most of those games get ruined by douchebags who do nothing but whine and complain. They kick people for no reason. I said in another thread about the Socom community, that I was playing a game and got teamkilled. I was the first man in the game dead. All of a sudden some a-hole says that I teamkilled him and tried to get me kicked. It is really shocking how the Socom community was known to be mature for the most part, but damn this games community really takes it down a big notch. I know there was another thread about this, but I got so pissed at the game, that I had to make a new one.

*EDIT: I am not bashing the game as a whole. The game is really good.

-As for you, maybe u have bad luck. Honesttly im getting killzone 2 for gameplay, but i fear community wont be as good as socom. Socom will and always have the best commnuity in a game imo.

i own both...both gave me a great time...

socom=teamwork, everyone has mic (and a good one)..Active, its great community.

Warhawk- Fun style and unique gameplay, however between mic spammers, horrible newbs, tons of kids and extreme mic issues..it makes online less fun than socom, however still tolerable...

I like both of them...

Warhawk is in its own genre which is why its cool, but socom is fixed and better imo

Games are meant to be funand "YOUR PASTTIME" not a pastime shared with anyone else. I tend to like single player games because they offer usually a better story, longer campaign, better character structure, ect.

I like MP also, but i tend to stay single player, i have s:c as my online game, but i def log in more hours with rb2 (single player) and LBP
