Sony has burned too many by making and then discontinuing portables without really giving enough time or effort to keep them going.

They stopped limiting shipments and now with the economy tanking they realized they can’t redirect shipments anymore like Nintendo did with the Wii.

I am a little suspicious of this announcement since Valve stated that only the base model would be shipping during the initial release. I pre ordered the model with the most storage which was scheduled to be released later in the year. When I asked Valve support about it, they replied that it didn’t matter what model I ordered, I would need to pay for it at the end of February and they do not have a date on when I would get it. Sounded fishy, like they are trying to weed out scalpers, or just sit on the money until the units ship.

@esqueejy: 13 million copies sold, yet 28 million copies refunded. I saw some suspicious vans outside of game stop and Best Buy that were supposed to be bringing in food for the employees during launch but instead were TAKING copies of Cyberpunk and loading them into the vans. Did Project Red do something crazy with them? 😂
