what i loved about the first one is depending on how you trained your digimon it evolved differently, and if trained too much it can die, does digimon world 3 use the same system?

loved jade cocoon, jade cocoon 2 sucked big time, felt more limited...but not too sure if I'd want to get that game now
snes had some pretty awesome rpgs, chrono trigger, a couple final fantasies etc etc, but I'm pretty sure tons of others have to agree with me that ps1 was the top notch console for rpg's, even the not so good rpg's were enjoyable (legend of legaia) but what made the ps1 rpg market stand out the most was the innovation. Ok the snes had great rpg's but most of them stuck to the same script graphics wise and gameplay wise, ps1 had tons of new battle systems to pick from the combo style from legends of legaia, in legend of dragoon you had to time the button press precicely to execute a combo, parasite eve's action based battle system, and theres also vagrant story, alundra. What made the ps1 era of rpg's unique was that it offered several flavors for people with different tastes.
But here's the catch, I don't want the typical Final Fantasy, Crash Bandicoot, Metal Gear Solid recommendations. I'm looking to get games that weren't as widely popular as those but equally as great, kind of like Tomba 2, Megaman Legends etc etc, oh and I love games with tons of easter eggs so if you know of any for ps1 I'd love to try it!
