I've got absolutely no idea what your talking about.

[QUOTE="9mmSpliff"]you are probably right on the bubble of 350wt-400wts of usage. You could try it, but you do risk burning your PSU out and maybe running into a problem with the GPU. Here is a mATX PSU for that Gateway . I can not see it using an ATX, but if it did, you have to watch the length. I had a Compaq given to me for free once. I disembled it and stuck it in an aftermarket case with an aftermarket CPU and more RAM. Then I was able to run my ATI X800xl OC off of it. Man that was a while ago. lolMaoTheChimp

Are you certain that the PSU is of mATX form factor? After eyeballing some pics of the internals, I was under the impression that the PSU was standard ATX.

[QUOTE="imneedy"][QUOTE="Mystic-G"]

8500GT is pretty low-end. I wouldn't expect to get a whole lot of performance out of it.

You mean out of the new video card?

Oooh I got confused. Scratch what I said. It really depends on your PSU wattage, whether ur PSU has a PCI-E connector, and whether ur motherboard a PCI-E x16 slot which might be what ur 8500GT is using.

Yeah it's using PCI-E not sure about the x16 slot but I'm pretty sure that's what it is.

It's a Gateway Gt5628 I was wondering if this would be able to run a ATI Radeon 5770? Specs: 3 gigs of DDR2 Ram Currently using the Geforce 8500GT had switched it out with a older Radeon but it fried so put the OEM in one. Quad Q6600 quad core processor. If there's anything else you need let me know.
