I find that my Logitech mx1000 wireless laser works really when it comes to precision (the problem is that it acts up quite often making it unplayable, especially in demanding games like oblivion). So I find that I use my good ol' MX510 most of the time.

First I would run memtest 86 to see if their are memory errors (run it overnight. It takes a while). If there are try swapping the ram out for another pair or test individual sticks. If that does not work I would say the fault might lie in the Ultra power supply. Check to see what the amperage of the 12 volt rails are (any how many there are). For a system like yours I would reccomend a power supply with 3x 12 volt rails running at 18 amps a piece (though you could get away with 2x 12 volt rails running at 18 amps). The graphics card should be on its own rail so that it always has the power it needs during intensive applications.

Just to make 100% sure, did you patch up to the official 1.2 patch before installing the latest unofficial patch (I found that was required for me to have a resolution other than 4:3).

For peformance I would reccomend defragging after installing the game and patches (a third party defrager such as Diskeeper helps the most). Other than that the game is not very well optimised and will have suffer from bad framerates at times on most systems (this will become exceptionally appearent on higher resolutions). The game dosen't run that much better for me on my 8800gtx and amd 4800x2 than it did on my Athlon 3500 and X850.

Yeah the narrator was terrible and did not at all get into what he was doing. I much prefer the narrator from the first NWN and his darker voice. The part where your team splits up was great (a bit predictable) but devestating none the less. I remember when Qara went against me I was really...really pissed since I spent everything I had to make her perfect for the last battle...but alas it was in vain.

I enjoyed Halo 1 when it was first released on xbox but it did not blow me away. The story was compelling enough to keep me playing and interested (I would hardly call it the best story ever) and the vehicles added a good bit of diversity to the gameplay. When I was done with it I was satisfied but nothing really stood out in my mind. The multiplayer was good and there were a couple of good levels but I could not stand the gun balance. The pistol was easily the best weapon in the game as it had a reasonable zoom, dealt good damage, and could be fired quickly and hit one spot constantly (thanks to the built in auto aim). Matches lost their appeal when you spawned with the most powerful weapon in the game. Even when you changed options to spawn with something else it is fairly easy to find a pistol in any map. Halo is still a good game but in my opinion not as amazing as people make it out to be.

[QUOTE="lambertitup"]

(In respons to my other post)

Yes i realise it says "Powered by Unreal Technology" but in the back of the R6 vegas manual it only gives copyright for unreal engine 2.

Also when i purchased the game i was having really bad fps problems ( i tried the Utgame.exe (UT3) switch for sli) but my biggest fps increase came from playing with the unreal 2 settings.

Also ive never heard any mention from Ubi that the game was running in Unreal engine 3

PredatorRules

if Vegas ran on Unreal engine 2 you wouldn't see better graphics than UT2004 or Americas Army

Splinter cell Double Agent uses a modified Unreal Engine 2.5 and it looks far better than UT2004. Vegas uses UE 2.5 with elements from Unreal Engine 3 (such as deffered Lighting) so it is sort of an Unreal Engine 2.75. Bioshock I believe is doing the same thing except it is using a modified Tribes Vengence engine with elements of UE3.
