@Borederlands @inspectre I'm not completely sure. I'd guess anything that sells on Xbox live Microsoft first bought the content to put on the service or the creators get a cut.

My original point was that M$ seem to be doing this under the disguise of helping the industry, but they are just punishing consumers and developers. Digital, Retail New & Retail Used are three separate markets. M$ is trying to monopolize all of them. The are certainly free to try to do so, but I hope customers don't go for it.

So if I understand this correctly, not a cent of money will go to the game creators on the purchase of a used Ex-Box game.

It all goes to Microsoft.

On a product that they had no part in creating, advertising or distributing.
