Show a little patience guys. Kevin Van Ord is reviewing the game I believe and was rushed to emergency recently. This is on his Twitter page.

Also, prior to this he encountered a game-breaking bug.

Ah if Kevin is reviewing it then it is worth the wait. Hope he recovers soon.

His game-breaking bug is patched as of tomorrow so hopefully he does not penalize the game. All game-breaking bugs seem to be fixed with the new patch (read patch notes).

edit: To the Original Sin fans: Turn-based combat patch is also coming to the game via free patch.

If you are buying $300+ 250 Ohm Headphones go ahead an buy a $120 Asus sound card, or else buy nothing and subpar headphones like 98% of the other PC gamers.

You cannot do 1440p without a 980GTX, that is the ABSOLUTE minimum. 3K and 4K HD cannot be done under a $1000

Someone seems a little biased...

Anyways, I am going to get this game because I think it looks interesting, but I don't know if it will be a game of the year game until I actually play it this weekend.

Trust me, It makes Divinity Original Sin look like a child's game. The Combat has incredible depth with a party of 6.

Whoever is responsible for reviewing this game you better deliver a clean unbiased review, this is the one indie title that managed to pull a vast number of AAA PC players from their comfort zone and back to their roots. I don't even want to see Skyrim or Dragon Age again, they are so empty in comparison.

And hurry the hell up! Stop reviewing those POS indie 2D side-scrollers. They died in the 90s.

edit: Sorry Kevin, I'll be sure to check your Twitter next time.

This board's activity since this game's release proves my point. Still call this a 9.0? or have you already forgotten it exists like me?

The score they gave this game proves that gamespot has lost their touch. In the old days only titles like Goldeneye, Banjoo-Kazooie, and Mario earned such an esteemed reward. Now these garbage indies have taken their place and forced all high-budget mainstream games into the 6-8.0 category. It's getting annoying that reviewers are now kids that may have never even owned a PS1 or N64 to realize this cloned indie crap deserves a 5.

For someone that has always been a PC (graphics, versatility, etc) fan since the 90s, and has always preferred mouse/keyboard vs controller for some of the genres I play. I am now seriously considering purchasing a PS4 after seeing the news of the GDC2014 conference unveil of the Oculus Rift clone made by Sony; that will stream from your PS4!

The addition of virtual reality headset, if done properly, will be able to provide even $2k-$4k PC users a new experience they can't experience on high-end PCs, and the PS4+headset will seem like a bargain to them.

Thoughts?

I have a $300 Oculus Rift Dev kit about 3 feet from me right now as we speak. It works currently with the PC, a PC that isnt top of the line

Why would I care what PS4 does?...

Not following you here

Sony has a major advantage developing this new technology on one piece of hardware rather than having to worry about compatibility, and let's be honest, who has the bigger funding? Funding + 1 Platform will probably make the PS4 version a richer experience. Although only time can tell.

Chill out guys. No one's post count has anything to do with the quality of their posts, nor does what car they drive.

Well said and thank you.

In conclusion I just wanted to say that the coverage the media is giving this game is disproportionate to how good the game actually is.

With the current coverage you would think this is a genre changer like BF2 and COD4 were before they cloned them almost yearly.

This game feels like one of those clones, bringing the genre a bit closer to its peak but it doesn't re-define the genre the way CS 1.6, COD4, BF1942 and BF2 did for the genre last decade.

This will most likely be a solid 8.0-8.5 from metacritic and gamespot.

Feel free to weigh in if you have played the above games and feel similarly or differently.

Please do not weigh in if you haven't.
