Hahahahaha you all been fooled this is troll thread, the guy hasn't even played it, honestly if players in BF4 moved the way you can in titanfall then BF4 would be an even better game, stop being fooled, every person who has played the beta has absolutely loved it so don't be fooled. i'm a sony man myself but this game does look good and it's going to change the face of fps games forever and i'm glad about that, i just hope cod runs it's course i mean seriously there doing a yearly swap with which team does which cod game that year,

WTF? I am a BF veteran at heart and BF3 was a minor disappointment to me while BF4 is a major disappointment to me. Everything past COD4 is dead to me as well.

All of those games follow the same BF2/COD4 formula and haven't evolved since.

Titanfall is a change.... in the WRONG direction, SIMPLISTIC GOALS, SIMPLISTIC MINDLESS KILLING OF BOTS, 0 STORY, 0 COMMUNITY FEEL, GRIND GRIND GRIND.

It looked pretty and it ran great, leave it at that. If you are a console player that just bought your PS4/XONE then you have been living under a rock for a very long time, so those people won't see this as a step backwards for the genre, but instead a step forward.

edit: Morrowind vs Skyrim vs Oblivion

This sums up the direction our gaming industry is heading, SIMPLE, EASY, and CASUAL.

Like I said, Veteran players, I come from Playstation 1 and N64 and have stayed predominantly PC, playing every 9.0 metacritic score game in this genre.

You have a linear path, you are told a story, along the way your character get stronger(which has become more and more simple through the years), and ultimately u end the game by defeating the boss.

You cannot tell me that all those other treadmills I mentioned do not follow this path.

Games I did not mention being anything like Bioshock (and for good reason):

Farcry 3

Elder Scrolls

Planetside 2

Eve Online

These are games that break the mold, that offer clear choice of what you can do next, that are boundless.

Those that disagreed with me earlier need more games under their belts before they realize that many of these new games are just pretty washed down versions of their predecessors. Essentially washed down to the point where they all feel the same.

THE GAME RUNS AT 1440P flawlessly for all current next-gen systems like the PC

And it runs at 1080p for last gen systems like the PS4

Two-Gen old systems like the XBOX ONE and PS3 is 720p why are you complaining?

You bought old crap now put up with it

PC's will always look better, why even bring that up?

because people should be complaining about the horrid gameplay of titanfall not how it performs on old slow consoles. The game's optimization for the high-end current-gen was actually its highpoint. the 6v6 DOTA2 bot match was not.

So if you have a problem with how this game runs, ask yourself what console/system you play on, because you the buyer made that choice and most likely, this kind of buyer cares less about tech specs or what he is paying for.

Bioshock is a very well-made action FPS treadmill. There are so many of them I will just list a few so you can get a scope:

Gears of War

Mass Effect Series

Metal Gear Solid Series

Tomb Raider

Dishonored

and now the upcoming Thief

All of these games are so strikingly similar in feel and gameplay that hardcore vets like myself cannot bring themselves to play more than a couple of them without being burnt out/burned out of all of them.

Like I said though, Bioshock was still well-made, just had too many little cousins come out the same year.

edit: I personally completed 75% of it before becoming bored

Titanfall

- An online FPS with only 6v6 combat but uses DOTA2-style bots to make it all feel like 30v30.

I honestly could not find anything redeeming out of this title, it played like a BF4 but now you have to farm NPCs/mobs/Bots; what kind of casual horseshit is this? Why not make it 30v30 humans? Because they couldn't and this is the best they could do.

The only redeeming thing was that it played in 60FPS 1440P Ultra flawlessly. Gameplay was ugh.

edit: Ultimately this game will feel like a grind, their is no redeeming feeling of having 1000s of bots kills under your belt just to kill a human player. The effect works well in DOTA2 but I doubt it has the same effect here

I hear these are equivalently good titles.  And by seeing that they all have a 9.0 so they must all be equally good games right?  Surely gamespot doesn't just hand off 9.0s to just any game.
