so now that this piracy talk is out of the way, to the "review":

am I the only one who noticed that the game was called a "heresy" by whomever wrote this drivel. Not to mention the numerous nostalgic comments about the "good-old-days" when black isle was in control

basically alot of fanboyism and blind bethesda hatred

I love the original fallout games as much as the next guy, but if I didn't know any better I'd swear that this "review" was written by one of those foaming-at-the-mouth uber-fanboys who had dismissed fallout 3 as trash the second it was announced

I'll wait for someone a little more objective looking to sound in before I judge

just my two cents

seriously though, the game has to be finished to be leaked. They really need to push finished product to release faster if the want to cut down on piracy

either that or figure out how their product keeps getting leaked

Espada12

Products will always get leaked no matter what because they are given to retailers weeks before release. Employee's can easily leak them, take the FC2 thread for example on this page, jacboy got a retail copy early, he can easily put it on the net if he wants. What I'm saying is.. stopping your products from getting leaked is almost impossible.

yeah probably, in which case they should keep better control over it until its ready to be released.

and maybe ship it a few days in advance instead of a few weeks

But for buying PC Games I go to Best Buy, Gamestop suck at having PC Games.

Chaos_HL21

of course, GS isn't interested in selling product that they can't buy back for peanuts and then sell back to you again and again

TC you seem to ignore my posts, that's fine. I suggest you go back, read them, and give it a try next timekillerfist

how have i been ignoring your posts, none of them were directed at me specifically

you asked for someone who worked in a GS to detail the things that went on there, i never worked in a GS

to be fair I should say that the old EBgames I frequented, which eventually became a Gamestop, wasn't too bad.

But since moving off to college the gamestop in this area is everything anyone who ever hated on the company said it would be.

So although I hate how the company in general does business, i will concede that there are some Gamestops that aren't too bad

The people at my local Gamestop are incredibly friendly. If I buy a new game (which is what I usually do), they may say that they have a used copy, but they don't give me any kind of attitude if I turn them down.

I called there yesterday to ask about Dead Space and they didn't try to pressure me to preorder anything. They told me it would be in tomorrow and that was it.

aliasfreak

lol, i did the same thing yesterday

called to check if deadspace was available

only difference is that I got "would you like to preorder it"

"no thanks"

"you sure, they'll go fast"(yeah because you deliberately order a small stock of them)

"i'm sure" *click*

also of note is the fact that you can preorder a game over the phone, but if you want to cancel a preorder they insist you show up at the store for "privacy reasons"

do you regularly buy used games from them, i understand why the push the games so hard. If they dont sell used games it looks bad to the GM/DM, as the profit margins from used games are enormous
