Mercenaries 2 will be different because the 1st was on PS2 and the original Xbox. GOW2 will have the same look pretty much, just destructible environments....don't get me wrong, GOW2 looks great. But Mercenaries 2 looks better and like its taking a huge step forward. :)

Of course its going to take a huge step forward from one gen to the next lol that makes no sense at all what you want GoW to feel bad cause it didn't start on last gens console or what look this is the deal if you like mercs better then you do but don't give crapy reason why you like it over gow. Gows i promise you will out sell and out last mercs with no problem cause lets be honest we all (for the most part) love this game there are so many games that took after it. Every game ten score of not has its flaws but what this game did was make history in the gaming community in many ways thats why so many games have a tighter cover system. Before gears the shooter was built around run and gun with minimal cover. So let me know what will mercs2 to bring new that the entire community will take notice or will it be another good game until the next big thing comes out. Think about it

WOAH...chill dude, Im not trying to make GOW2 feel bad cuz it didn't start on the last gen consoles. But to be honest the only thing that made GOW different from other shooters was the sick chainsaw on your gun...and the graphics. At least in Mercenaries you can do whatever the bleep you want like free roam, drive a bunch of cars....(GOW only had one car...an unsatisfying one) blow up crap, change your characters outfit...and now that I think about it, when I go back to GOW without playing through it with my bro on split-screen co-op it is soooo boring for some odd reason. Mercenaries had alot more variety and Im sure the 2nd one will too.:);)

Yeah...the game is pretty fun. It doesn't matter if you haven't seen the movies either. Awesome combat, pretty good shooting action too. You should probably rent it though, I rented it and beat it just before I had to take it back to the store. 8 bucks or w/e is a pretty good rental price for a fun game with easy achievements.
