@nintendians: since MK 9, it’s been a reboot. MK 9 (known simply as Mortal Kombat) was a reboot doing the original 1, 2, and 3 all in one game. MKX and MK 11 have been true sequels to that franchise, with little nods to their other games: 4, Deadly Alliance, etc. I say all this because the story mode in these games have been fantastic. I’m not sure if you’re saying this simply because there have been 11+ titles, but they really have gone back and revamped the franchise. My issue with it is simply the initial cost of the DLC, which tends to be pricey. I just wait for the discount. But if you haven’t played since the N64, I highly recommend it.
You can make the most powerful machine out there, but where are the games driving me to get it? Sony and Nintendo’s biggest points are their first party titles, but if I’m dumping money into a machine because of its power, I’m going PC.
@cyrribrae: I’m saying he looks like the district manager of a dying store, not that Microsoft was dying. If you worked in retail like Blockbuster or Kmart, you would get the joke. Grammatically, everything I wrote was very accurate.
@brandsome: If it was just story, I’d agree with you; but there has been a complete overhaul in graphics. Even the load screens on the subways have been enhanced. The original was simply a port from the PS3 with a higher frame rate. It’s similar to what they did with Katherine. I am aware that this is Atlus milking it. Yet, I loved the first one so much, that I’m still getting it.
