I remember when the first GotG movie came out, and going from the trailer, i was like
"a talking raccoon and tree... this is a hard pass for me"
I didn't give it a chance for the longest time.
In fact, at the time, the second movie was only a few months away, before i finally went ahead and decided to suffer thru the first movie... and, was i wrong.
Now, The Guardians movies are my most re-watched of all the Marvel movies.
I love them so much, and I'm really looking forward to the last movie.
and, seeing on how it's James Gunn last Marvel movie, before taking helm of the DC universe, I hope he did this movie justice, like the last entries.
Plus, ADAM WARLOCK!!!!
Its been a while since that "tease" at the end of Guardians 2.
@j3diknightdave: it is subjective, and I do sub to Xbox and PS. Sometimes PS has good games for the month and sometimes Xbox does just as well some not so good games.
I don't even remember the last time XBOX had a decent "free" AAA game. and I'm more of an advocate for XBOX.
but,
their "freebies" are usually shit, and something they've always lacked on for their loyal subscribers.
too bad... i was actually looking forward to this movie.
Beast Wars was pretty cool back in the day.
Unfortunately, they didn't go with a more realistic, animal design, and instead opted for a more machine "beast".
One of the things i liked so much about the tv show, that they looked like their animal counterparts, when in beast mode, and transformed in to a more metallic machine.
After so many entries in the movie franchise, with the same old, same old, I wouldn't have been against a more animal centric, CGI, Beast Wars movie, if done correctly. No human actors, closer to the story line from the tv show.
Oh well, I'll see how the overall reviews do, and maybe I'll give it a shot... but, my hopes aren't high. =(
RIP... i just finished the game (all storylines, Pokemon League Champion & Ace Academy tournament winner) and i never once did the whole picnic thing or egg breeding.
This is one thing i always gave Sony a Thumbs up for... Their "freebies" are usually pretty good (definitely better than the "freebies" on xbox, which is usually indie poop)
Mass Effect legendary is a great freebie, and a must for anyone on PS that hasn't bought it already, and especially that haven't played the series yet. (double especially for Mass Effect 1 & 2... great games)
@Vodoo: I actually hope the deal goes through with ms and AB, stronger competition in the 9th gen platform space.
But that is the actual definition of a corporation, or I should say the original definition. A corporation, unlike federally incorporated, agrees to international rules of trade. They agree to regulations and rules that prevent monopolies and or actions that kill competition. A corporation whether it is US or Euro, or Japan agrees to a set of rules in order to gain access to the potential customers of that nation. It does not matter where the corporation originates, it still has to play by rules set by each nation- if it wants access to the those customers in that country. And the same goes with corporations that want to do business with the US.
Of course those ideas have mutated into what corporations are today, ever growing monsters consuming potential competition with no liability, and the unbelievable power they hold and can wield.
But yeah, US corporations have to play by the rules of any country they do business with, and vice versa. These multi-international trade rules and organizations have been both an incredible boon to billions as well as brutally destructive. It works good for all countries involved, whether it is regulations that govern pesticides, electrical safety, warranties, legal, or if it will kill off a domestic product unfairly.
I personally think the merger should go through, just because of how big Sony and Tencent is as compared to MS share of the pie in the 9th gen gaming industry. Let it go through, and then push competitive regulations on all of the corporations in the gaming industry.
^^^ THIS.
Beat me to the punch, i knew i shouldn't have took that shit. LOL
I must say, I've been playing for a little over 10 hours, and other then some late rendering and a bit of image degradation, I haven't really experience any glitches that break the game, or take away from the gameplay (for me) but, then again, I haven't been actively looking for any either.
The few things I dislike, have nothing to do with performance, but with things such as the "gym test" for instance.
Having to push a "big bean" with your character, to the finish line, to be able to battle the gym leader.
Or
Traveling to another location to return a gym leaders wallet, and win an "auction" of seafood, to be able to challenge him...
A bit boring, and I'm sure there is more with the other leaders, but I haven't got that far yet.
Also, call me "old fashion" but, I miss Team Rocket. The new Team Star just seems like a cheapened rip off.
The most interesting part though is the "open world" design. And how you don't have to battle challengers, if you don't want to.
Another good improvement, is how you come upon wild pokemon.
I like how you can see them walking or flying around, instead of the random events in tall grass or walking thru a cave, like in the old games.
Don't care much for the region/theme...
Would have preferred a return to a popular, previous region, from other games, or more of an English/Japanese setting.
With all that being said, if the developers iron out the performance issues the game does have, Its a pretty solid game.
And if an open world game, like BoTW can run and play well, I see no reason why this game couldn't, with a future update.
(Though it shouldn't have been released like this in the first place)
