NES # 10, Metroid

Sorry for the delay, Im still doing this thing, just adjusting to the new baby. hope you all enjoy

metroid

Release year 1987 later on the Wii 2007, developed by Nintendo

I think with this game it would be better to give the story line, I know it was a popular game, what im unsure of if anyone knows what this game spawned from. I think it is funny because in the game the year is 2003. The Leaders of the known universe are attempting to change civilization as it was known. Various leaps in technology were made for better travel, this is when the rest of the universe came into contact with "Earth". So the alliance and Earth decided to work together. Then one day the Space Pirates came into contact with Earth, Not so good. The Pirates doing what they do best, started trouble, so the Federal Bureau hired bounty hunters to hunt down the Pirates. Now Year 20X5, yes 20X5, the universe is still flourishing except for those pirates. Samus Aaron, human with Cyber Suit "BAMF bounty hunter" Is hired to go after the Leader of the Pirates "Mother Brain" before the pirates blow up all the planets and ruin everything. So a saga was born Metroid!!!

#1 Finally Pitfall

pitfall

year 1982, developed: Activision, platform gaming at its best.

Cue the music.... Drum Roll please, here we have my favorite of the Atari games. So, lets get on with my review. One of the most sold games for the Atari, 2.6 million copies sold, unheard of back then... So you control Pitfall Harry through a maze of a jungle seeking 32 treasures. Here is the challenge, 20 minutes with dangers that consist of tar pits, quicksand, water holes, rolling logs, Scorpions, snakes, fire, walls, and alligators. To get thorough this maze you have to Run, Jump, and climb. Swinging on vines was my favorite part of the game. Scoring is simple, Find treasure... Money bag-2000, silver bar-3000, gold bar-4000, And diamond rings-5000. 2 ways to lose points are falling into a hole-100 and running into logs-depending. The most points are possible 114,000. Happy treasure hunting!

#2 Pac~Man, Womp, Womp, Womp

Before I do my review, I know tomarrow is supposed to be my #1, you might have to wait a day or 2 on that. My Daughter will be coming into this world, Im excited. So, If she makes me come by the home front to pick something up for her, Michelle. I will post my number 1. If not you will just have to wait. Also stick around after this list because I will be starting my countdown to mt favorite Nintendo games. anyways with out further interuption, here is my number 2!!!

pac man

Year 1981, Developed by Tod Frye then later by Namco, Platform Maze...

Wow what can I say about Pac man, Wow. Makes #2 on my all time favorite list for the Atari. The funny thing about Pac man is the name it has made for itself over the years, Really a popular game. Now back track in time a little, alot of the magazine clippings and articles about the video game crash in 1983 blame pac man. Funny I know this you say, Well I love looking things up on Google. I like to know about the subject I am speaking. So back to Pac man. If you have Been raised in a cave with no working Lights and no running water for the last 25 years Pac man is a game of little Difficulty. Your a yellow circle with a hunger. It is your pleasure of eating all white dots off the screen while avoiding the ghost of the maze. As you complete levels of this maze the difficulty increases and the maze changes. alot of fun then and still fun if you just have nothing to do. I would play this game frequently if it was on my cell phone.

#3 Donkey Kong Jr. he has always been there.

dk

Year is 1981, developed by Nintendo inc. Early platform...

This game is the perfect early platform game and a instant Chart topper. You control your character, Jumpman, yes he is back and name has not changed to Mario yet. Any ways. It is your job as normal to save the princess from Donkey kong Jr. Now Is it me or is she always getting kidnapped. Its been happening for a long time and still seems to be a pretty regular thing. Good thing Jumpman is here to save the day. So there is the story line, from the dawn of time there is a unguarded princess who likes to be taken against her will so only that her one true love has to rescue her. So in order to do so in this version you will have to be agile and full of energy. Jumping barrels, Running up a slope, and climbing Ladders. When you reach the top of this construction in progress, you save the princess. Fairly easy, loads of fun. Oh and if you was wondering, The princess, Her name is Princess Pauline.

#4 Frogger, Hop Hop Hop

Frogger

Released: 1981 Developed:Konami Overhead Action, 2players talking turns

Im excited to be moving up to number 4. I know everyone has played some version of this game or a game influnced by it. So lets hop along to my review, fun playing. Your Screen is split into 5 sections. Which in this review I will break them down for you. First is the start, don't worry this is a safe point. You move right to left to see where you want to move into traffic. Once your ready to begin, move into traffic. In this traffic you will face all kinds of dangers. Involving; Cars, Trucks, Buses, Taxis, Bicyclist, and/or Motorcycles. Now keep in mind the road is more busy the harder the level your on. After you make it past the fast paced highway, you will encounter a small break. In this small safe spot you will be preparing yourself for a dangerous river. The River, Top part of screen, You will face more dangers. River Consist of Rolling logs, which you will use to cross the river. Turtles and Alligators will eat you if you miss the logs unless you drown first. Now for the last part of your journey you will have to decide which Frog house you want to enter. There are 5 houses to choose from. As you fill the Spots you will be placed back at the starting point to do it all over again, increasing levels per time. I really enjoyed this game as a kid and still play it from time to time. So if you get the chance to play Frogger. Don't hop away, it is a great piece of Gaming history.

#5 Pole Position, I think Americas first Racing game.

pole position

Released: 1982 Developer: Namco/Atari inc. Racing game 1 player

This game by far was one of the best games from this generation. With its graphics, sound, and driving realism out performed any driving game made for the atari. Picture this your in Fuji Speedway preparing to try out for an eight car race. So the only thing between you and this race is the qualifier. So hopefully you will take the pole Position. okay in the year of 1982 you really had to use your imagination, so here we go. Your behind the wheel of this formula 1 racer, engine behind you, steering wheel tight, and vibration all around you in your cock pit. In this game time is your biggest challenge due to your competition couldnt drive their way out of a wet paper sack. Your most important part of the race on this game is to qualify well, this determines your starting position for the race. If you dont qulify you dont get to race, don't worry though, the time restraint isn't that strict. Happy racing and Good luck

#6 Bruce Lee, He is a Bad Mut** Shut yo mouth

#7 Jumpman, Atari, Amazing Fact

jumman

Jumpman....Realesed 1983....Developed:EPYX....Platformgame 2 plyrs

Okay todays update, Sorry a little late. Had to go to doctor...Here we go, Fun fact for the day. Duh Duh Duh, Jump Man is Mario's original name, Its true, Mario or should I say JumpMan stared in Donkey Kong jr. which came out in 1981, after that is when they thought Mario sounded more catchy. knowing that now, don't you feel like you learned something new. Okay Jumpman, The object of this game is to defuse all the bombs on the Platform filled screen. Luckily you don't have to be an expert in bombs, all you have to do is touch them, easy enough right. The story goes a little something like this, These Bombs were placed on Jupiter by terriost, Dang Osama leave the galaxy alone, J/k. So they were placed to destroy the planet. It is your jobe to defuse the bombs and save the day on Jupiter before they explode. So this is how it is done, you run around, Climb Ladders, Jump Of course, and defuse the bombs. All the while you are being shot at with smart darts. There are 30 levels and 3 different levels of difficulty. So good luck saving the day. hopefully you will be able to experience this one. I know it makes me appriciate my New Platforms so much more!

Pong, Before atari but also on atari

pong

Year 1972 Developed by Atari inc. Considered a sports game 2 players

I dont know who, but for those of you that may have never heard of pong, Im here to enlighten you. Pong was created to be a simulated version of tennis or ping pong, hence the name. Pong is actually the second arcade game ever created, theres a fun fact. " I googled it". Pong didnt make it inside homes until 1973 on what was called a magnavox odyssey. It wasnt until later that it came out on the atari. the pong home system (1975) was about $100 that today is the equivalent of $400. I also googled that. So why are we complaining about our prices? j/k sorry about the review being full of fun facts and not opinions. Fun game, played it alot as a kid. its a ball and 2 sticks. to me it is more like air hockey.
