for those who might be skeptical, i want this game to be like 20 hous long! With multiple huge Boss battles! and with some amzing adventures all throughout Mount Olypmus. This needs to be on the most EPIC scale! Then the ending pust just be absolutely ridiculous so amzing and huge something that could do justice to waht it would be like if all the Titans, Gods, and creatures of Greek Mythology jsut died. It could be the greatest and most Epic game of all time!

I know they could do this, and i would wait until holiday season 2009 if they would make GoWIII this huge! it will probably be the last GoW game they need soemthign new and fresh but still use the same platform that bade the past games so great.

god i am excited for this game and hopefully some big news about it will be at E3

Ya the last two games were on a massive scale and very epic, but with PS3 i want to see this on an even larger scale... Especially because a lot of people are going to be playing on big HD displays this time. Maybe some 1080p and 60 fps??? Well, if they do make GOW3 native 1080p, I hope they can afford to do it without sacrificing theframe rate,the amount of action going on screen, or any other graphical qualities. I'm expecting some insane epic scenery and for this to be one of the best looking of this generation...

First, if Ps3 is next gen then Ps2 isn't last gen, it's now gen. Also there are still quite a few great titles coming out on Ps2. And no the 40 GB unit won't do Ps2 BC because it jsut doesn't have the right hardware to do so. Software emulation still needs hardware pieces to process the data, hardware pieces that are lacking in the unit.LordReithgar

what hardware pieces? I thought that software emulation was done on the cell and main ps3 hardware etc... isn't that how the 360 does it?

Its people like you who keep on spreading untrue rumors and facts to newbies.

Get this, the PS3 40GB CANNOT play PS2 games no matter what type or sort of emulation you throw on it. The 40GB does not have the nessasary hardware to run PS2 games.

Do not mix this up with the 80GB, as the 80GB still have the GS(Graphics Synthesizer - PS2 GPU) in it where as the 40GB doesn't.

Conclusion: 40GB PS3 with BC for PS2, NO WAY IN HELL.

Ok, if the 80GB PS3 has the Graphics Synthesizer but no Emotion Engine than how can it play PS2 games? Wouldn't software emulation be necessary to emulate the Emotion Engine? And if the 80Gb does work that way, then why is it not possible for a future firmware update to add complete software emulation for the 40GB??

Take-Two is a very weak publisher at this stage. I am not sure if EA is the right fit for them, but I don't know if Take-Two can last much longer. All their profits rest on one IP, which is a precarious spot, at best.

Unless another company tries something, looks like EA will get GTA soon.

Yeah it seems like Take-Two is trying to just hold out against EA for another month until GTA comes out. GTA is going to sell big, maybe once Take-Two has gotten their strength back they will be able to resist EA...

They were overrated but then again, I thought that both games were really enjoyable and fun.Maybe the motion sensing in the PS3's Sixaxis controller could be put to good use in GOW3 ???

They willdefinitely utilize the Sixaxis motion sensing, I'm guessing probably to balance while walking across the skinny beams? Or maybe for special moves... Anyways can't wait for this game, I assume that it will have amazing graphics on PS3 and the scale of the levels will probably be even more epically gigantic, looking especially awesome because of 1080p resolutions and big screen tvs?!?
