MGS4 graphics are going to be great, the gameplay will be great, just because it is a mgs game and the storyline will finish off one of the best storylines of any game series.

IMO we will see a port of this game on the 360 in the future, to say that the 360 can't handle mgs4 is both true and untrue in some aspects, as it is programmed now on the ps3, the 360 would have a hard time running it, in the same respect, the game can be made to work on the 360, granted it might not look as good or play as good, because seldomly ports of games work as good as they do on the original console the were intended for but that doesn't mean that they aren't and can't be created. IMO it boils down to how much money Konami wants to make off of this project, if they feel like it isn't making the $ like they wanted it to, then they can create a port for this game if they haven't already.

Granted Kojima has said that he is creating the game for the ps3 and not the 360, but that doesn't mean that konami can't have a different group of developers work on the port.

So honestly it isn't about a next-gen machine being better than the other here, it is up to Konami what they want to do with the product. For honestly both of the systems could have a game created for them, there is dispute of which one it would look better for, but both of them power-wise could handle it.

I really wouldn't rule out the possibility, supposedly re5 and dmc4 were supposed to be ps3 exclusives also. Technically Kojima will still be making the game he is just not going to work on the port for the 360 and also as long as Konami wants to produce it for the 360 then they can, cuz Sony has purchased the exclusive rights for the game yet. Atleast that I know of, I could be wrong, if so please let me know

I got my XBox Mag. the other day and in there it said by a reliable source the mgs4 is going to be ported to the 360 about 3 months or so after it is released, and it is going to be worked on by a different group then Kojima. It said that it hasn't been officially announced, but the the source was reliable

Has anyone else heard anything about this?

You don't decide what people think is overrated or not. I think Gears isvastly overrated(as far as I'm concerned, no one else needs to care). The gameplay is glorified hide-n-seek where all you do is hide behind crap and shoot the enemy in the head until they die. How many headshots does it take to get to the center of a locust, anyway? I don't think they should make a 60 dollar game with the pretense that they'll be making it a trilogy beforehand. They're essentially going to release 3 "1/3 to 1/2" complete games and charge us $180 (or more) for them. They could have made the effort to make the single player experience more of.... an experience.

Oodles of people seem to love the online play... which I thought was worse than single player. Before they gimped team-stackers (yay), I would join a ranked game, only to find myself with 3 other people who had no idea what they were doing. Oh, and guess what? The other team was comprised of 4 players who had practiced with each other on a regular basis and had their strats down. Needless to say, 99% of the ranked games sucked unless you had your party posse with you. Half the time 3/4 members of my team would quit, leaving me 1 vs 4 to get pwned. (I'd always get a chainsaw kill in beforehand, at least (the only redeeming aspect of multiplayer for me)).

Whether Gears of War is overrated or not is an individual opinion, and not something you have control over. You're a lemming, as far as I'm concerned. Even if it were the amazing game you believe it to be it would not be free of criticism. Constructive criticism leads to improved products in the future. To summarize, I think it's vastly overrated, and I'd score it around a 7, on the threshold of "good." You don't have to agree with me, but you damn well have to respect my opinion :) If you can formulate a more intelligent argument, I'll respect yours as well. Until then..... Yoshi, signing off.

alright- lets see here - first off there is no other game that can come close to matching the graphics off GOW (atleast on the 360) and second off the gameplay is not like others- its something new ( a new idea to further work upon - which i agree with you on the constructive criticism) i guess u can give it a 7 if u r rating it upon games up to par with it **(which are..? what games? - i cant think of any), but to give a game like COD3 a 8. whatever and to say thats better than gears... i mean comeon - compare the two games, i have cod3 and i gave it a chance - a half a games worth and what a waste it was - gears got my attention from the start and also got the attention of many gaming critics (in a POSITIVE way)

I don't think eveyrone is just bashing gears, they are just giving their opinion, which I agree with for the most part, obviously you don't, that is why you have your opinion. Opinions can change also, when gears first came out I loved it, untill i beat it a copule of times, and then tried playing online and got stuck with some pretty poor players, that is when my opinion dropped and it isn't my favorite.

The graphics on gears are good, but do I think they blow away the competition? No, I personally think that Oblivion looks a lot better than what gears does, I run my 360 on a tv that runs 1080p and both look good, but i think oblivion looks amazing.

Along the lines of innovative gameplay what does gears have to offer? I can remember playing Half-Life when it first came out for pc and I am pretty sure it was alot easier to beat the game when you take cover, the only thing new when it comes to gears is there is actually a button that performs that action.

I would say that the people going on about how their launch consoles work fine, are either truly lucky or barely playing the thing. I can't say that I didn't take care of mine, and like many others it also broke. It's clear that they made mistakes somewhere in the hardware design, and I'm guessing that it can't withstand too much game time.

My point is that when you're making a game console, you know people play games A LOT, some even take it to the extreme. It's their job to ensure that you can do just that with their console.

I guess I must be one of the lucky ones or something. I have had mine since midnight on launch day I've beat condemend, gears, crackdown, enchanted arms, and quite a few other ones, I have put in well over 150 hours into oblivion and prolly around 75 hours or so of guitar hero, Played the halo 3 beta a couple of hours almost everyday that it was out, and have had sessions on the weekend were I have played five or six hours straight, and I still have never had a problem. On average I prolly log about 10-20 hours a week on the 360 sometime even more.

I have about 4 friends that gottheirs about 2 months after launch and not one of us have had problems with them. I realize from all the articles that there is a problem, but I just don't understand how. Total including me I know about 8-10 people that I game with are still on their first xbox and i know they play them alot too. That is what i get confused about, sure one or two consoles go bad that is prolly the manufacturing problems, but when people say they are on their 5 or whatever xbox leads me to believe it is a problem on their part, maybe something they can't control (power surges) or something of that nature.

I know some people are gonna say that I sound like a fanboy, but I am not, I have a wii and when metal gear and prolly ninja gaiden come out I will prolly get a ps3, I am like DataDream when it comes to that aspect, I am a fanboy of all technology
