have people forgotten about this great game!! I wonder if the guys who made it ran out of funds or something.

interesting question. did you notice the pivot points after the epilogue, the voice is not shauns im thinking some other living ancestor is tapping into animus, desmonds father may have other children im sure this is not the end, ubisoft clearly said its desmonds last game but not the end of assassins creed franchise.. remains to be seen

all other scriptwriters of other gaming studios should learn from ubisofts assassins creed franchise of the art of storytelling and how important story is in the immersion of a game. Being a gamer since 1992, i have liked games with emphasis on the plot some of the games in my mind has been metal gear solid, silent hill series,mass effect series.

Heavy Rain and fahrenheit(from quantic dreams) was one of the greatest plots but i do understand that people would have liked more gameplay

But I guess i am in the minority who thinks that the story should be slightly more important than gameplay and ahead of graphics

just got my copy of AC3, ubisoft has outdone themselves the graphics are great and better than all the previous games in the series and there are many small games added like red dead redemption like backgammon, this is my game of the year 2012 i doubt hitman and far cry 3 can top this:))

not much sidequests.

yes i feel that many characters in the game could trigger more sidequests by talking to them

i am a person who doesnt go by game reviews i feel that many people base their opinions on this and buy the game, if call of duty is always given 9/10 i feel timeshift should be 11/10

please do advise which of the points are vague and i could try to explain it better

i beg to differ from everyone timeshift was a great game the mere ability to rewind fastforward and pause time at any given time was an amazing innovation by sabre interactive.....

both were innovative games why was timeshift given 6 on gamespot?

for those of you on the fence as to whether to buy this, I must give you some of my thoughts

1) this new IP from bethesda is a great entry this year, you have the freedom to play in any style you want being as stealthy as you like or being upright action oriented.

2) the plot is average at its best they could have added more depth to certain characters and even the main character doesnt talk like freeman of half life.

3) the graphics is cartoonish and leans more into fantasy like bioshock, i would have preferred more realistic graphics like darkness 1

4) they could have added more stealth powers and devices like cloaking and a sleep grenade but the game is relatively easy so i guess they took that out

5)not much sidequests

6)would have been better if it was openworld for me in that way you could do the unfinished tasks for later.

7)one of the areas where the game shines is that your actions have consequences changing the world around you and this gives you the value of replayability.

all in all i would give this game a 7/10 as its a good game not a great game due to the points missing above
