Alot of my friends who were snickering at the price are melting down now too. Especially because there really are some great deals out there. PS3 + controller + 5 BR movies is a steal. It really is a great system and I cannot wait to slay more biznatchos online now. n00b a7Ert.

Seriously though I hope that sony can continue to sell this system well. It deserves much more attention than it is getting. Now if they can just release the stupid rumble controller I can allow my friends to play...... sigh.......

I really like R6 Vegas but I just rented it. I have a few buddies who play in D-1 Ncaa football so I am just waiting for the ps3 rosters to come out to pick that up. I guess it depends on what you like as far as gaming goes.

Either way Rainbow Six Vegas is an awesome game blending slick graphics, tactical fps action, and intelligent enemies. I would not miss either if you can afford it. However if you do not play multiplayer I would rent it and beat the campaign then buy Ncaa.

Okay I am getting a vibe that alot of people are complaining about Rainbow Six Vegas' lackluster graphics. Unfortunately I ran into this problem originally too. I noticed they were alright but nothing popped out about them. They looked kind of like really high poly PS2 models and the main menu was blurry, definately not crisp HD.

Here is the fix you are going to need to do to make sure it runs in HD and you get the crisp HD visuals. Quit your Rainbow Six and go to your XMB. Under the Settings tab, go to Video Settings or Resolution Settings or whatever. Click your corresponding input cable and then go to CUSTOM SETTINGS. Make sure that you uncheck 1080i.

The game will automatically try and be played at your highest resolution, in most 720p tvs that is 1080i. Unfortunately R6 has a bug or something that causes the graphics to look downright rubbish. Ensure that you have 720p checked and not 1080i and fire up the game. You will definately notice the difference and a smile will spread across your face.

R6 is a great looking game, don't let this bug put a damper on your experience. If you follow these steps there should be no more posts about R6 having rancid graphics. Peace.

When the psxsports comes out can we take that roster online or no? I assume that since the PSN is pretty cool with letting you run around free it might work right?

Also does psxsports do the best rosters or is gamerosters.com better? Thoughts?

thanks guys.

Pretty good man. But heres the deal. art is dead. I am a graphic design student at SCSU and to be quite honest art is just a bunch of hippies and morons trying to get a living doing nothing. I like some art now, (graffiti, Shepard Fairey, Banksy, etc.) but to me most of it is absolutely stupid and some peoples justifications for not utilizing "technical skill" are ludicrous. For instance just because one could draw a perfect photo realistic representation of Robert De Niro doesnt make them a great artist today. I hate that, but alas the tastes of the world have changed.

Anyways my best advice, do not ever try and make a career out of art, you will end up broke depressed and maybe without an ear. No matter how good you are some people are just rediculous, and art in museums or art nueve (sp?) is a bunch of bland crap that is dictated by rich people with no taste. Post modernism is a biatch. Keep up the good work dude and you will get better. Those look like my sketches from when I was about 8 and I just kept doing it. Proportions are especially good, just work on the shading!

peace!

MGS1 is probably the best in the series. I would absolutely love to have them remake at least that one for the PS3 as it was so stellar. MGS2 was awesome as well but the whole Raiden thing turned alot of people off. Snake has some pretty big shoes to fill in the bad anus department so I could see that. (though it appears he makes a kickin return in MGS4). MGS3 was probably my favorite though. The action was good, the cutscenes were awesome as always and it is the type of experience you can only get from Kojima.

MGS as a series has always been about the story. The cutscenes have always been theatrical and their production values never will be questioned. Regardless, don't just get MGS3, get them all. You will understand why Kojima is a genius visionary in the games industry and will be missed forever after the MGS series is wrapped up. Gaming without Kojima and his contributions would not be gaming at all. They all are masterpieces!

Sniper Wolf is sexy!

Rainbow Six Vegas is a sick game. I was pondering buying it (I would have to trade in Resistance and Fight Night) but rented it yesterday. The gameplay is slick, the weapons are great and CUSTOMIZABLE, the AI is uber smart, and overall the presentation is pretty nice. The cover system works well and the nifty tricks like the fast ropes and such look really cool. The only thing that suffers in my opinion is the character models, particularly the faces. It also is sort of a grubby looking game compared to others and doesnt necessarily "pop" like some games I have seen (NGS for example).

While my experience with the original GRAW was breif I can say that it was enjoyable. Hearing that GRAW2 for ps3 is built ground up I might have to check it out. However I think R6V, on realistic mode, is not only very realistic and challenging but extremely fun. Mixing smart artificial intelligence with satisfying weapons you are GUARANTEED not to be dissapointed by R6V. Check it out because it truly is one of the best experiences available on the system to tide you over until Madden, Killzone, Warhawk, MGS, etc.
