@ Ryouga I don't understand what you want me to say. Do I tolerate gay people: Yes. Do I accept them: Yes. Do I openly go around supporting gay rights and fighting for same-sex marriage: No. Does that mean I am an intolerant bigot? I don't believe so, but you can think what you want. To get back to the game, I am okay with them implementing gay options, but I do not believe it is necessary for every character to have that option. Reason being, it is highly unlikely that every crew member is capable of gay tendencies.
Wow some of the supposed Christians in here need to think for themselves. Do you really believe God hates gay people and that they should burn in Hell? If so, why would you worship such a God that is so hateful and spiteful of those he creates. I consider myself a Christian, but I do not follow all the messages in the Bible, because over time the words of God could be altered or skewed by human interpreters who include their own prejudicial views in order to influence the world as they would as they see fit. While I do not openly support gay people, I do not discriminate against them. I feel they should be free to act as they see fit and that we should grant them their freedom.On the other hand, I am a strong conservative and would like to uphold the traditional family, because I believe it to be the best environment for a child. But that does not mean I don't accept gay relationships and in some cases it would be better for a child to grow up with two men or women who are capable of love, instead of an abusive or neglected foster environment. As for the game, not every character should have gay feelings (including both men and women), but it is up to the producers to do as they like. It just seems unreasonable that every character would have homosexual tendencies, given the small minority of people who are gay Otherwise, I see no harm in this idea, as long as game producers are not one day required to include homosexual game paths in rpg's.
So should you even talk to the male crew members in this game if all of them will inevitably hit on you? I feel that it would ruin my experience if I found out Grunt wanted my package. I would be scared to even walk past his corridor. Much like room 237...
Hopefully, this isn't the spark that erupts into lawsuits further on down the road directed towards companies that do not include homosexual relations within their role-playing games. I can see it now - affirmative action in the virtual world.
I don't understand what is so hard to comprehend about this situation. Apparently, homosexuals and gay supporters like this idea, while heterosexuals and those who do not condone anal intercourse do not. Seeing that we are all free to make our own choices to support or go against the foundation of sexual preference, we should not be harassed about our decision. Not everyone should be forced into supporting gays, for it is something that is unnatural to the majority and not something we can ethically support. Just how most people do not support sodomy with their own wife, I find it logical that they would not support sodomy with a man. It serves no purpose except for pleasure and does not contribute to the continuance of the human race. While I am obviously against the idea, I should be free to state my own opinion without being called ignorant or uneducated. This is not a one-sided debate.
