yeah check out LBP it's a really unique game and feels really cool to play. just the visuals and awesome user created levels are enough to me, and i'm sure you'll enjoy it.
I've been looking into battlefield 1943 recently and to me it seems strangely similar to warhawk. I mean the visuals are very different and BF is 1st person while warhawk is 3rd but putting those differences aside let's compare the rest:
-very similar vehicles (4x4's, planes, and tanks in both)
-multiplayer only
-tropical locales
-game modes(ctf, tdm, etc)
and overall they seem to have a similar vibe to them. tell me if i'm crazy but i dont know if i want to get it because i feel like i can just pop in warhawk and get a similar experience.
the only thing i dont like is that the mgs4 control scheme does not translate too well to online play. online is generally faster paced and the control scheme just doesn't accommodate it that well and is slower but it's still a good fun but do not buy it just for the multiplayer.
for each kill that you have you have gotten, you can drop that many dead bodies on your opponents as they suffocate in the mountains of bodies. i feel like a serial killer now.
yeah i would suggest to anyone to buy burnout. i just picked it up the other day and since it's a greatest hit, you can pick it up at $20. ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!! It has mind blowing crashes and the racing is just pure fun. and i just started to get into the online part. maybe i just love it so much because it's new to me but i really do love it.
where's RROD?? i would suspect that's a reason ppl are sometimes wary about buying one. plus some ppl who have another console are satisfied with that and don't feel like shelling out another $400-500 (including add-ons) for something that they basically already have.
i'm not saying that hype is necessarily good, but it does show the game devs that the public has huge expectations for them and hopefully this pushes them to live up to their expectations. the thing about hype that kills me is that even if a game is great but has a lot of hype, people might look down on it because it doesn't meet their unrealistic expectations. i guess there's really nothing we can do about it though.
