@philip6k: Who is "they?" I think what you're probably trying to say is "Sony has a lot of customers."
"Consumers" are everyone, regardless of what you choose to buy.
And you're obviously just so loyal to a piece of plastic since you had to mention this, plus you're defending their anti-consumer approach. My conversation with you is over because it's so pointless trying to discuss this with a MAJOR fanboy. Good day to you.
@just1mohr: You are quite intelligent for saying that you want Sony to have tough competition. I applaud you for this.
However, the fanboys will only see what they want to see. No matter what, MS' show on Thursday will be an abysmal failure to those who think a world with only Sony and Nintendo is a better place.
Wasn't Celeste nominated? No discount on that game? C'mon MS, I have a buddy that promised to buy me that game if it went on sale for the Game Awards lol
@shadowwarrior4: Actually the smartest thing to do, IMO, would be to make it BC immediately while working on a sequel or a spin-off and then a few months before the new game's release, make the original a GWG to hype ppl up for the new, upcoming game.
It's not like the original game was bad. The more exposure the original gets, the more a sequel would be likely. They've obviously already paid for the IP, so it would be so simple to make it BC and then potentially generate some new interest/revenue for those that had maybe never heard of it before.
I say THQ Nordic should strike a deal: MS agrees to charge THQ no cost at all to make it BC, and then put it on the schedule for a GWG at some point down the road for a discounted price for MS to pay THQ Nordic.
