I prefer AAA games over half-assed $1 Iphone games. I'd rather spend $60 on a great game that will last me years over a $1 that lasts me ten minutes But some people prefer the Iphone games, and I respect that. So, if the gaming industry can keep going like it is now, with a great balance of casual games and actual AAA games, the world will be great. Just as long as some other publisher boots EA and Activision out of this industry.
PC gaming? Far from dead. The greatest thing about PC gaming is that you can pretty much do whatever the hell you want to. Modding is actually excepted in most PC games. The amount of amazing indie games (cough, Minecraft, cough) is almost insane. I do love console gaming, though, however, I find myself being almost stuck inside whatever Microsoft or Sony or Nintendo tell me to do. It's like console gaming has no freedom, has no ability to do what they want to do.
Most of my friends don't give a crap about MLG, but I kind of like to watch it. Not only can I see some good gameplay tips by watching the pros, but it's pretty interesting. I'd rather watch the StarCraft 2 tournaments than basketball, LOL.
Essentially, if you buy Elite, your spending $60 a year. Every year, another CoD releases for $60. And then there's DLC, which is $15. Usually, there's about 3 DLC's for each CoD. So, if you get all of these (which i highly doubt you will, unless you're 6), you spending $165 every year or so, unless you get one of the bigger editions, making for even more spending over $200. COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS.
