@mogan: If the citizens and leaders haven't exemplified the phrase then the phrase no longer describes us (It truly never did), but regardless... Superman is an alien that crashed on this planet, he only by chance crashed into the US because when the comic was written that was just standard.

That's like saying if god herself manifested in a corporeal form and happened to do it on the east coast of the US "Welp looks like gods american!". "Truth, Justic, and the American way" is jingoistic, might as well have the slogan be "America has a living super weapon, don't tempt us", it's Dr.Manhattan but more family friendly.

That music, jesus, it brought me right back to being 15 and booting GTA 3 up for the first time. It was the single most impressive game I had ever played. The scale and scope were wholly overwhelming, I had never played a game that felt as alive as GTA 3 did at the time.

I am legit excited to step back into those games, to experience them with quality of life improvements, **** I CANNOT WAIT.

I'm glad, I have no issue with product placement in games when it makes sense. Sports games, open world games set within real world cities, or any game trying to create a sense of place. The product placement in Alan Wake was extremely cheesy and didn't make the world feel real, it felt like an ad.

@tbird7586: Obviously a player doesn't "have to do it" but the inclusion of such an odd achievement in a game about tension and building an incredible atmosphere seems off. Nothing in Alan Wake is supposed to be feel safe save for the light, but having the player run aimlessly around seeking coffee thermoses just clashes with the theme of the game.

It felt tacked on at launch, something someone felt the NEEDED to have, it didn't.

I truly don't understand this loyalty to Steam...

Steam used to be a great platform, but now it's garbage, I honestly prefer the Epic store. At least on the epic store you don't see a 100 cash grab anime games.

**** YES! Alan Wake is a fantastic, underappreciated horror classic. Sure we got American Nightmare but it wasn't the sequel people wanted. I truly hope this turns out to be real, I love Remedy and will happily buy this day 1.

@id0ntkn0w7: The 2nd film hasn't been confirmed yet, I certainly hope it does well and the team is able to continue it.

@bloodbornelore: For your sake alone I truly hope it's successful enough to warrant a second film, but Hollywood is absolutely FULL of movies that were supposed to be parts of a series.

@tsunami2311: I mean it's from the creators of Max Payne lol, Remedy is the master of the 3rd person shooter, and I'm sure I'm not the only one that replayed both Control AND Max Payne several times through, the combat is just insanely good.

@bloodbornelore: I love that you love Dune so much, I can tell you have read the books and have a deep understanding of the lore, the issue is, that can't be fully expressed in a single film. Dune is very much a series that requires a long form show OR several films. The issue is, Dune IS niche, it's extremely old and has done very little to make itself relevant to modern audiences.

I will see Dune, it looks pretty enjoyable and I very much liked the original film, but it's not going to be this big franchise starting film that will allow for 9 more films. It's just not that sort of thing.
