THE NIKE CREATOR AND CEO IS FORM OREGON

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philip_Knight

aca247

1) Learn how to spell - from is not spelled "form". Apparently that big red line under your misspelled word isn't enough of a clue

2) If you had an ounce of reading comprehension skills, you would have read that Mr. Knight is no longer the CEO, when you say in your post that he is CEO (which implies that he is still CEO)

3) My original post did not have the slightest bit of seriousness to it. I should have known it would have gotten this response - this is, after all, a videogamers (aka basement dwellers) site. Peace out losers. Just trying to bring a bit of a bright spot to your miserable lives.

PS - Get a clue.

This just in - the University of Oregon has decided to shut down its College of Arts and Sciences in favor of redirecting the funds that were previously used to fund the school to the ever growing demand of the football uniform budget.

Congrats to Kevin Love - 31 points and 31 rebounds vs the Knicks on 11/13.

"Impressive. Most Impressive."

[QUOTE="heysharpshooter"]

Eli is nothing without a running game and a tall receiver who can catch his passes, which seem to sail high mostly because of his inaccuracy.

SaintBlaze

How do you explain this season then? The running game was mediocre and the tallest reciever on the team was Hakeem Nicks (who's generously listed at 6 ft), yet Eli had arguably the best season of his career.

Gonna have to agree with this one. Actually, it was by far his best season.

Ok, let's get one thing straight here. Don't know if anyone has said this or not, but when Eli is on, he is as good as anyone. Period. Look at what he did early this season.

But that's not the point I am trying to make. Eli's problem is that he is WAAAAAYYYYYYY too inconsistent. On one end of the spectrum we have the first five games of the season. On the other end of the spectrum, we have games like, oh say, the Broncos game this year (I live in Denver and haven't been to a Broncos game in probably five years. I went to the Giants game this year to see Eli, and BOY WAS I DISSAPOINTED).

Anyway, the answer is still no, he will never be better than Peyton. He definitely has his streaks of brilliance (the 3 games leading up to Super Bowl 42, and parts of Super Bowl 42), and at times, is EXTREMELY clutch, even moreso than, dare I say it, Peyton. And, he wouldn't have a ring if the stuff I have pointed out was not true. But sadly, and justifiably, these get evened out by his less than stellar performances.

Ok, I didn't make this as clear as I should have in my first post, and I do apologize about this. but I was more trying to explore the topic of what is making the Colts click better this year than in previous years. I was trying to simply explore this topic and this topic only so we could avoid playing the game of "the Colts always start 9-0, no difference this year" which would lead to Pats fans and Colts fans banging heads. Again, I am sorry, and I do apologize for not making this more clear.

@ bunchofpixels

I understand that Peyton was returning from an injury at the beginning of last season, and that is what slowed him down in that season. I also anticipated this as a response from someone. However, I did say that he's looking better than he has looked in the last couple of seasons, not just last season. Go back to 2005. This was the year after he threw 49 touchdowns. He did not have an overwhelming year stats wise. Granted, he was still Peyton Manning, and went out and won 14 games, but they weren't exactly blowing every team out that they played, and he wasn't putting up insane numbers like he is this season. Same thing went for 2006 and 2007. Lots of wins, but not blowouts by any stretch of the imagination. Not to say that he didn't go out and put up great numbers here and there in those seasons though.

Learn how to read people. I clearly stated in my first post that the success of the Colts thus far has not even close to defined them for the season. I made it clear that I knew the playoffs were no where near close to beginning. I was simply stating that they have been playing better over these first four games than they have in recent years, and was trying to make a discussion as to what could be the difference thus far. Of course this forum has to be swarmed by Pats fans who drool over Tom Brady (who, BTW, is sitting at a 83.7 passer rating right now), and have to comment on things that this forum was not even addressing. Leave this forum alone if you are not going to talk about what is happening on the Colts offense to make it run smoother.

Yes, I know this. But he hasn't come out and put numbers up like this for a couple of seasons. They look much more polished than they have in recent years.
