@maitkarro: I would say AC1 was more of a tech demo as each mission was identical in the way it played out. AC2 had the benefit of 2 years of polish. If only they stuck to a 2-3 year cycle, I'm pretty sure the series would not get such a bad rap and franchise fatigue that it's currently having.

@Xirtahm: If a new title had all the ingredients that made the first one great, I wouldn't mind a new title....but only on that condition.

In an age where split-screen and offline is considered a luxury, you have a 15 year old game like Perfect Dark cramming everything and the kitchen sink (4 player split screen + bots with scaling difficulties, customize the weapons on levels, tons of game modes, co-op, counter-co-op, campaign, training modes).

They don't make 'em like that anymore this gen...

@putaspongeon: Again, you haven't given me a definitive answer....which is the 'true continuity'? The new 52? That came after the Nolan trilogy so who's following whom at that point? Is it the original 1930s pulp stuff where Batman was running around killing people with a gun etc etc?

Again a fan-fic isn't officially endorsed by DC (clue is the lack of the logo). On the other hand, the movies have DC at the start and the credits. Batman has had different writers and artists over its 70ish year history, again, much like Bond there can be different interpretations all perfectly valid for fans to appreciate.

Fandom isn't some sort of exclusive club, the so called 'fans' that try to close the doors to the rest of the world are the worst part of the culture.

@putaspongeon: You seem to have a bad case of the 'No true Scotsmans'. Who are you to decide who is a 'true fan' and who isn't? Which comic line is canon? You realise there are many versions of Batman that often conflicting with one another, so what is the 'real' version? The golden age? The camp rebrand? The Frank Miller portrayls or the new 52? The one where he fights the Predator? Unlike your fan-fiction example as long as DC stamp their logo of approval, then it's well within their right to call it a Batman story.

It's no different to how the Bond films are portrayed - often retconning or conflicting with each other, yet i'd say a Bond fan who likes Connery is the same as a Bond fan who likes Craig.

@ltjohnnyrico: Look son, clearly you need a little help understanding so let me spell this out. Companies are free to charge what they want, but consumers are equally free to not buy or not agree with said offerings. I will pay the price, if I feel it's worth it, but at the same time it's well within my consumer right to voice my opinion on said price. Sony obviously don't have to agree with me and that's well within their right too. In the same way that I can ask for a discount when my cell phone or cable contract is up.

Wanting a good deal on something isn't a 'kid thing', it's a mature step to take to get more value from your money. It's a viewpoint as old as humans have been bartering. Do you accept the first price offered when buying a car or a house? Or do you try and get a better deal? If it's the former, then I feel a little sorry for you.

@putaspongeon: "The movies gets so much wrong and make so many creative decisions to change things up that it can't be considered Batman"

You realise the comics aren't an autobiographical account right? Batman is fictitious and therefore there isn't really a 'right or wrong'. That's like saying Superman's flight is wrong since he originally only could jump really high. Not to mention early batman regularly used a gun and killed people, so technically later comics got that wrong about him.

@ltjohnnyrico: Well the Deus Ex pre-order campaign was stopped due to complaints, as was the whole DRM thing Xbone had, and that's just the gaming space. Plenty of examples exist where customer voices have had companies turn things around or reverse decisions. Fuel is obviously a harder ship to steer but in many instances local governments may reduce the duty applied to fuel prices which can lead to them being cheaper.

@ltjohnnyrico: Consumers are free to voice their criticism vocally as well as with their wallet. These companies aren't delicate flowers that need you to be their unpaid defence force ;) . Also if you pay attention to the news, you'd know that complains about the cost of gas happens pretty regularly son.
