The foundations are there as the hardware we have today is unreal. You got online and the ability to patch things with massive multiplayers etc but it just takes far too long to make a decent game these days.

There is starfield about 6 years in development. You cant enjoy gaming when we have to wait that long for a game never mind a sequel

Sega were great risk takers when it came to titles and did things no one else would try.
