I personally hate Nintendo and cannot understand why people still buy their trash. It is utter trash. Their hardware sucks, their consoles have overblown sucky libraries, sucky internet etc. Essentially its just a mess of shit that sucks. Breath of the Wild might be a good game but really, that game runs on 720p. Come the **** on. How is a game running at 720p in 2017? It simply should not be acceptable and on top of that look at the fucking price tag. You can buy a ps4 which is a MUCH more powerful machine for cheaper than this switch shit. It's nuts people are dumb enough to continue handing their money to a farce. This is why video game companies will continue to **** the consumer because the consumer appears to not have a brain.

I feel that since the last gen of consoles released. The emphasis and popularity (and less popularity=less sales=less games made) of games of "depth" have slowly declined. People want shallow god of war/call of duty experiences, which are simply arcade games with evovled gameplay. Games like STALKER and real RPG's are declining. The standards for deep are also dropping. Games like Mass Effect have "deep" stories, but the gameplay is just Gears of War with upgradeable weapons and armor. Even games like resident evil are losing thier souls, it used to be about survival, managing ammo and health, and feeling nearly helpless because your supplies are limited (thats why I like STALKER :) ), but I recently had some people tell me STALKER sucked, okay, tell me why, its boring. Thats right, an open apocalyptic zone where mutants (that have realistic animal-like AI that lives thier own lives), several factions at political war (many want to kill you), and hidden deathtraps AKA "anomalies", is boring. Why? Because it probably doesn't have nearly enough action cliche's, explosion's, and Hans Zimmer music like in Call of Duty (having said that, Hans Zimmer rox!). Call of Duty gives you an adrenaline hike like a popcorn action movie, a thrilling game of football/paintball/whatever, but STALKER, thats like reading a good book, its a slow-burn type of entertainment. You get sucked in, immersed, except unlike a book YOU (not ajust a character)try to survive, you have to plan things out more. Is there really only a small group of gamers that wants this added depth? I'm not just talking the "survival" depth like in my STALKER example, but even the Strategy and economics of RTS's are dying, RPG's are narrowing there gameplay choices to keep the player "in the action", and keep them from being confused, AKA having to think. I think Crysis 2 is probably the last shooter that will entertain me, because I am burned out to simple action games like, "OMG that thing looks tough/scary/cool, now kill it!!"
P.S. Its not even a consoles popularity issue, its that more and more "mainstream" people are playing games (on PC and consoles), so instead of Triple AAA companies focusing on showing those casual gamers the depth that videogames can have. They focus on catering what non-gamers think videogames are, a quick fix for temporary entertainment, a fast COD match, a quick Starcraft zerg rush, a quick streetfighter beatdown. These are all well and good, and SHOULD always have a place in gaming, but the future of games should evolve past that! Hell, maybe once the economy turns around, companies will start taking risks again...

Take a look at Heavy Rain if you are looking for a deep game.
[QUOTE="jennyfer1x"]Plot holes- Okay there are many plot holes but many other games have plot holes so why are you condeming Heavy Rain for it. Can't Rival MW2 in storyline- Okay, clean the dirt off your eyes and ears honey. MW2's story can be written by a 2 yr old. That's how much depth MW2 has unlike Heavy Rain that has more depth than your eyes would even let you see. Heavy Rain had great characters with a tight story that kept you on your feet and that was imaginative. That's more than you can say for the whole entire Call of Duty series. Laughable Voicing- You know what's laughable ? Your argument and how extremely bias you are against this good game. That is one thing that really cannot be said about Heavy Rain. Terrible voice acting ? You are way off your rocker or maybe I think you need to go take a trip to the doctors cause there must definitely be something wrong here. Awful Graphics and Inconsistent- Oh man you are just too funny. Awful graphics ? Heavy Rain sports some of the best graphics around. I'm appalled you would even say something so ridiculous. I guess along with your doctors visit you should also stop at an eye clinic too. Bad controls- They weren't the greatest but they certainly weren't the worst. That wasn't one of the games key points anyways. Worst scenes- Well, that's your opinion. I loved every scene even the sex scene.( I know I just said even the sex scene get over it)Stevo_the_gamer
I normally wouldn't reply to this since it's obvious what you're doing, but I'll bite anyways for fun.
1. Other games main focus isn't on the story--Heavy Rain is led by its story and it's main driving force is the story itself. When that story is terribly written and more holes in the story than a block of swiss cheese; you have yourself a big problem. The story's writing rivals MW2 on the level of absurdness at times, it's pretty bad that after I finished Heavy Rain that MW2 comes to mind rivaling it. Heavy Rain has ... depth? A "tight" story? "Imaginative"? 'm a bit thrown at back by the use of these words to describe Haevy Rain of all things.
2. Yes, I am biased against this "good game" by giving it criticism. But, a las, your love for the game is completely objective. :]
3. I said, "at times," but the entirety since some parts were quite good. But there were inconsistent accents and do not let me remind you of the awful: "Jason? Jason! Jason! JASON! ... "
4. Heavy Rain does not sport some of the best graphics around. The only plus side that I can give you for Heavy Rain is the character models, which that in of itself, isn't too stellar all the time.
5. I never said they were the worst, only that they were bad.
6. You loved the sex scene? lol...
The story was good and stop exaggerating the plot holes. They really weren't super massive hole size and it's not like there were thousands. Excuse me for not condemning a game for a few plot holes. Are you really trying to say a killer that drowns little boys in rain water is not imaginative ? Heavy Rain was and is still very unique because there has almost been nothing like it. One word to describe Heavy Rain is imaginative.
You are biased against this game because you are trying to say things that aren't true honey. Unimaginative ? Terrible voice acting ? Save me some time and go read your post again please.
For the most part the voice acting was good so I have no idea why would you bring that up against Heavy Rain. That can only be used against you honey.
Heavy Rain does indeed sport some of the best graphics in town buddy. Yes, sometimes it might get a little inconsistent but for 90 percent of the time the graphics are above great.
Yes,I did like the sex scene because unlike a lot of people in here I am mature enough to see kissing and a bit of skin without freaking out. Now you may be excused .........cya p.s
[QUOTE="TheGuardian03"]It's a great game but once you notice the plot holes :(, don't focus too much :P.Stevo_the_gamerYeah, if someone doesn't focus on the bad controls, terrible writing with plot holes and a story that can even rival Modern Warfare 2,at times laughable voice acting, inconsistent and sometimes borderline awful graphics, and some of the worst scenes in gaming I have ever seen (sex scene?), then yeah, I'm sure it would be a great game. Plot holes- Okay there are many plot holes but many other games have plot holes so why are you condeming Heavy Rain for it. Can't Rival MW2 in storyline- Okay, clean the dirt off your eyes and ears honey. MW2's story can be written by a 2 yr old. ND relax honey I didn't take it that serious
Well,Honey the PS3 has been cranking out Graphic Kings like I crank out female dogs. There is a reason for that gorgeous. It wasn't coincidental it was fatenantial. Anyways I'm a total PS3 fanchick so for me PS3 exclusives all day,all week, all year, eternity. We all have our opinions don't mean they are correct but I will defend mine with vigor and facts and let see if people will stand.
