That sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen against 343 Studios and Bonnie Ross. Those laws to prevent gender discrimination and pay discrimination have been in place since the 60ies and 70ies. Women can study computer science - no one stops them from doing that. They just choose not to. But here Ross is outright saying they discriminate based on gender which is illegal.

Guess I wont be buying games from them again.

But yes, options are never a bad thing and playing Assassin's Creed for historical accuracy is crazy-talk. It's all about escapism and if a female character does that for you then more power to you.
