It's funny that Campo didn't object to him when they got almost 6 millions views for their game on PDP's video of Firewatch and hence all the sales for the game because of that video. Once they had the exposure they wanted THEN they condemned him - yes, that surely is the "honorable" thing to do here.

Playtonic did it to distance themselves from a "racist douchebag" but had no issue taking the racist money from the fans of that "racist douchebag" and not offer refunds to those fans who asked for it and furthermore even mock those fans and JonTron on social media. So yes, we are angry at them for that.
