If your component inputs support 720p as well, which it should,it would not really matter. Unless you want your audio and video signal to be carried on one cord, opposed to splitting up the video signal and carrying the sound on another cord. But that is up to you :)

I can't say PS3 is doomed for failair yet, but the price drop without the backwards compatibility may shy people away from buying the system. Their exclusive titles are slim to none, and without the DualShock2 the bluetooth controller is awkward. (Yes I know it should be out soon, but that should have been implemented at launch.) I honestly think that sony has priced their system way to high for the average consumer to buy, at launch. Most people don't want to shell out that much money for a system. If the PS3 drops to 299.99 I think I might invest in one, but until then, the sony campaign is struggling to make it in the busy world of counsel gaming. (I do have a PSP and a PS2, which I both bought at launch so I don't think I am being too biased. I decided to get an XBOX360 over the PS3, which was a hard decision, but in all I am happy I made the choice.)

Hey guys/gals I was just wondering, what the deal was when you put in Halo 3 and it asks you to update your 360? What does that do?

snackdaddy

How long has it been since you turned on your 360? Mine didn't update when I turned the game on.

Well I just got mine this past August, and I have played a couple games bioshock, fear, deadrising, gears of war.....I was just wondering what the updates do. This is the first time it has asked me to update the system.

I can't honestly recall the last time I was asked to run an update. But to your question, generally an update SHOULD improve apon something in the 360's OS or in Live or on the Server Side. I have no idea what that particular update did though. Again I didn't have to download one, but I have seen several posts stating that they we're asked aswell.

try www.majornelson.com maybe, see if that works.

Cool thanks for the info

dude, if you werent so ignorant you would know its rated T. so if your son isnt a teenager theres one strike. and also, it says on the box andas you start up the game "game experience may change during online play" so maybe if you knew what you were buying, you would know it probably isnt good for your child.

I'm done now, i dont want to start a battle....goooosfrabba.......im calm now :D

Magic_Sea_Otter

I have to agree with you on that. Everyone thinks it's the guy/girl's responsibility to let the parent know what it is rated. Do some research before you buy a game for your child. You can prevent the whole bad experience by not enabling him to play online.

Try resetting your PS3. I think if you hold down on the power button for at least 5 seconds, it goes back to the default mode. If you set it to HDMI before, that is why you can't use standard composite on the system. Try resetting it first..

Hey everyone,

I finally got an elite for my birthday. I was pretty excited. Even though I had a battle going on in my head whether or not I should have got a ps3 or xb360. So the first game I tried was "Dead Rising", and I thought it was okay. I expected more from it....so with that being said, can anyone recommend a good survival horror type game on the xb360 or even any games that I you think I should try. (excluding sports games, i'm really not into them)

Thanks In Advance,

A new XBOX360 Owner
