@Epsilons @ftskamins lol thats not the truth at all. Theres is literally already games it cannot play (ie, Far Cry 4 which NEEDS a four core CPU). This thing was dead before it was ever released. Consoles work because the devs make the games specifically for them, PCs work because you keep upgrading hardware to stay ahead of the requirements for games. This hybrid thing doesnt work.

@mister-sandman "Also with this Rig i'm sure you can last at least 6 years"

Lol. You have got to be joking. That rig already falls short of some games NOW. Six years? Come on. My PC cost $1800 and I seriously doubt it will last six years.

As for competing with consoles, you didn't count the cost of an OS or controller. Kind of essential and both come with the consoles. Performance wise, the hardware might be similar on paper but its not even close in the real world. Try playing Tomb Raider at 1080p, 60fps at the highest settings with tressfx turned on. The PS4 can do it. That thing wouldn't come close.

Fact is, if you are on a budget consoles are a far better deal. Guaranteed to play every game, exclusives and a guaranteed lifespan.

It fails as both. The only use I can see it being is for someone who already has a good gaming PC but wants a cheap way to play some of their less demanding Steam games in the living room. But even then, you'd be better off getting one of the consoles so you get the exclusives.

As a console, if you bought this instead of a Xbox or PS4 as your main gaming system, you miss out on a lot. Im not just talking about the Sony and MS exclusives but also games that play fine on console with a gamepad but are unplayable on a PC even if they do support it. Games such as Battlefield for example which are fine to play with a controller on the consoles but borderline unplayable on PC with a controller even though theyve got full support. Basically the same goes for every shooter except the odd one like Titanfall which has good PC controller support.

And as a PC it fails, already falling way short of the recommended requirements for a ton of new and upcoming games (an I3 with 4GB of RAM and a 2GB GPU has a VERY short life expectancy) and it misses out on a lot of what PC is about, such as upgrading.

Really, something that might be handy to the person who already has a desk-bound PC and a next gen console but its no alternative to either.

Last racer I bought was Forza 5 and that thing just put me to sleep. Hopefully this game might have some actual fun.

I dont want want to be one of those guys, but I really think this review was a little off base. Im not saying the criticisms were wrong, more that they missed the point. Yes, the story and characters are basically non-existent. But its really not meant to be a story driven, cinematic type of game in any way. Its really just about teaming up with friends and going shooting. The story is really no more important than the story in Titanfall. And yes, the missions are repetitive but again, they arent really like a single player campaign. Its more about harder and harder battles as your team levels up.

Im up to level 11 and I couldnt tell you a thing about what the story is meant to be, all I know is that so far I have been having a ball with the game, whether its been going on strike missions with my friends or going on patrols solo and playing alongside all the randoms. The gunplay and mechanics are some of the best Ive ever played on a console FPS. I also think more credit needs to be given to the networking. After all the disasters we've had with recent big online games, Destiny is really flawless. An excellent interface, I havent seen one single bit of lag and havent had a single connection issue or dropout.

The game isnt anything amazing, just good shoot em up fun with buddies. Hopefully the promised constant new content will keep it going for a while.

No season mode? That's the only thing I've ever played in sports games. Wtf? What else is left for single player campaigns?
