[QUOTE="jivingcamel"][QUOTE="krazy-blazer"]We built a church in Kuwait for Christian immigrants.. Expected us to behead them?krazy-blazer

Do you hate Christian immigrants? No. You contradicted nothing that I said.

Egyptians usually aren't happy with Homosexuals yet there are no Laws against them or any actions. Muslims don't just attack anyone they hate, this is a general stereotype...

Which is why I said 'tend to'. In reality, more enlightened nations like Egypt and Turkey that appreciate the importance of secularism are just exceptions to the general pattern of oppressive Islamic theocracies.

Put towards for any religion that has control of the country.. :| You guys are comparing religious theocracies.. How bout you use examples like Egypt, a actual secular nation that is predominately Muslim.. Your going to see screwed up stuff happen regardless of what religion if its a third world country and a religious monarchy of sorts is in control..sSubZerOo
When did I say otherwise? [QUOTE="guitarshr3dd3r"] Every suicide bomber the media shows is "Muslim" and if you would get your head out and be more open you would read how the Quran doesn't promote this, so I see alot of murderers or whatnot being athiest/Christian/Buddhiest/etc, does that make the religion "Evil"

Mmm, but how many people blow themselves up in the name of atheism or Christianity or Buddhism? [QUOTE="guitarshr3dd3r"] Because a Muslim does something doesn't mean Islam told him to do that.

Oh sure, it's just a massive coincidence

Yeh, and the fact that almost every suicide bomber is a Muslim, and the fact that Islamic countries tend to be oppressive backwaters, and the fact that Sharia law advocates penalties such as execution for apostasy and dismemberment of hands for thieves; this pesky facts, eh?

[QUOTE="jivingcamel"][QUOTE="guitarshr3dd3r"] You guys act as if people in America aren't homophobic, keep in mind those are Muslim countries in the middle east, and Islam forbids homosexuality, and to say it's wrong of Islam to forbid homosexuality is wrong, anyone remember how that girl couldn't bring her girlfriend to prom because they said it was against Christianity or something like thatPixel-Pirate

Bull****. I have every right to criticise your backwards religion's bigoted attitudes to homosexuality. You allude to 'cultural differences' - there's cultural differences alright: my culture is liberal and understanding and rational, and yours is cruel, violent, repressive and viciously intolerant.

Theres some massive irony about someone complaining about a religions intolerance toward homosexuality (which the popular western religion Christianity shares) while being intolerant toward a religion.

Fight intolerance with intolerance! Row row fight the powah.

Not at all; the fact that I despise Islam and yet I believe strongly that being Muslim should not be punished in any way makes me, if anything, all the more tolerant for it. On the other hand, see what Muslim countries tend to do to groups that THEY hate.

[QUOTE="guitarshr3dd3r"] What comments? I never said anything ignorant towards homosexuality, I'm not homophobic, nor do I care what they do, I have a few gay friends, stop jumping to conclusion.

You stated homosexuality as forbidden within Islam, and you are a Muslim. QED.

[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"][QUOTE="SgtKevali"]

He'd be generalizing if he said Cameron represented all of Christianity or if he said that the ad represented all of Christianity directly. It's still an ad for Christianity, even if he didn't mention what denomination. It's just to be assumed (as no one can really speak for ALL Christians, just as no one can speak for ALL members of any big political, social, or religious group). If he didn't specifically equate Cameron's message with all Christians, he is NOT generalizing.

SEANMCAD

But he did. He mentioned seeing ONE commercial with Kirk Cameron. He implied Christianity...not the one denomination....created commercials. He should have been more specific. Not that it matters because my initial point still stands. I HAVE NOT seen one......

would you please!

If I see a commerical for Rasin Brand I might say I saw a commerical for cereal would you please get over it!

THAT'S GENERALISING; you're generalising wheat. Now you make the point that you quite obviously weren't, and I'll refuse to admit it because I'm so bone-crushingly arrogant that I will never admit defeat, and we'll play an awful cat and mouse game for the next 30 posts whereby I am horrifically vague and evasive and you trouble me with those pesky 'facts' that are so often a problem for me. Go!
