Yeh just at the moment im in the same position iv'e looked up reviews of the 8800 GTS and was concidering getting it to.Though there is just one thing that concerns me and that is if this card can run on DX9 and im wondering if it would work on a standard PC monitor Flat screened of course (not sure what size yet) instead of HD.Once you here these things then you will know what Graphics card to get.

So how much are we talking for the 7950gt an would it be able to play oblivion on best with just 1gb of ram or would i have to also have 2gb of ram , are there any other things that i would need to do to my comp for this graphics card to work ?

p.s hw much ram does ure comp have, when ure able to play oblivion on best .
