Is it a wireless router? Do you want to connect to the router wirelessly, or with an ethernet cable? If you reply with the brand and model number of your router it may help.

Wow, I can't believe these PSN issues still exist.gamer082009
The DNS server problem is an ISP issue, specifically Time-Warner.
Did you connect the PS2 to the TV with a PS2 component output cable (highly recommended, especially for an HDTV).
Also, there are settings for the screen ratio (4:3, 16:9 widescreen) in the PS2 configuration menu, but you may only see them when a component cable is used.
What audio settings did the PS3 autodetect to use? I have two home theater receivers, one I connect the audio with an optical cable and the other I can just use HDMI. The optical connection requires me to manually checkmark most of the frequencies and then gives me a warning about possible speaker damage if unsupported frequencies are chosen. Maybe you could try disabling all but the lowest stereo frequency and see if the fizzle sound occurs with it.
See my post about changing your DNS server: http://www.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=26920437&msg_id=313063878#313063878 .
Ok my hdtv has 4 hdmi outlet but one day the tv went blank and say that the mode is not supported. So I switch to the 3 other outlet but now im down to my last hdmi outlet. Can someone give me any suggestion on this problem?

When exactly does it give you the error message? The reason I ask is that my PS3 is set to always output Blu-ray film content at 24Hz for my bedroom TV, but if I forget to turn that mode off for the living room TV, then I will get an "Unsupported mode" message during Blu-ray playback.
If you are planning on getting a TV under 50", then I wouldn't bother spending more to get one with a native resolution of 1080p. The reason is that you will likely pay more for a TV with 1080p, but still not see that much of difference in sharpness between that and a similar 720p model when the screen size is under 50". This article covers that, and has more information regarding HD resolutions: http://reviews.cnet.com/720p-vs-1080p-hdtv/.
Rear projection TVs are still a great value, you get a pretty large screen for less money than the same size in flat panel (LCD and Plasma), but they do have a narrower viewing angle than flat panels do, so your seating position and the average number of people who will want to watch it at once comes into play. My nephew complained about the viewing angle on his projection TV because he plays Guitar hero while standing, so we moved the TV to the other wall so that he could stand back farther and reduce the angle. A higher TV stand would also have helped.
i get a guitar hero game and with its guitar but i dont get the wireless receiver for the guitar... if i bought i new guitar and get a new wireless does that wireless can be use with 2 guitar?wixz
No, each guitar needs its own wireless dongle plugged into the PS3.
Or am I just gonna have to end up buying mafia 2 instead because thats what I'm probably going to end up doing.

Are you aware that Rockstar (the creators of Grand Theft Auto) is making a game called "Agent", as opposed to the MMO game "The Agency"? I wasn't sure if maybe you meant their game instead.
As far as audio goes, you can connect the stereo audio plugs from the PS3 component cable to a receiver/amp, or you could connect a TOSLINK cable (optical audio) instead if you want digital surround with a home theater system. You just have to make sure to go into the PS3 audio settings and change the audio output to optical.
