fixed the problem, lol. some of my fan metal fins were bent and were stopping the fan from moving, not good. Now, I have a new problem (well not new, it happened too before). I reapplied some thermal paste (Arctic Silver Ceramique) and now it's fine when I startup (37-40's), but once I put it under load like playing a game, it doesn't cool down after, even if I let it sit for 5 or 6 hours it stays around 50-58C.

I've had coretemp for a while, and I usually got correct readings (40-60 degrees C) but now, I'm getting readings like 80-over 100. I knew that wasn't right, so I used PC Wizard 2008. There, it says my Processor temp is 44C, but the specific cores are at 86-91 degrees C! Then it says my mainbord temp is 81C. There's got to be a problem here. Am I just looking at the wrong temps or something?

[QUOTE="ct1615"]

It is theft. I'm guessing a good portion of you have careers, mortgages, bills, etc.,but if you create products for your career and someone steals that product and sells it...you would be pissed. For the rest of you, just imagine someone stealing your allowance every week.

Technically it is copyright infringement. "Theft" would imply that there is physical property being stolen. This is intellectual property and it isn't being "stolen," it is being "unlawfully reproduced." For someone in the DRM industry I would think you would know that.

Although this is true, "unlawful reproduction" just seems not as bad in peoples' minds as "theft." I think the point he was trying to make is it is like theft in that something is being stolen (or reproduced). Either way, it's ripping off the devs and this is not right in any way, shape or form.

lol, another ship jumper....but if you ask me, yea, wise move. multi-plat = more money = bright future = healthy industry. it also means more choices, which can only benefit the consumers. now i have absolutely no problem with something being exclusive....it's just that i'm totally cool with companies deciding their own future as well. Jinroh_basic

I agree that this is how the gaming industry is, but I don't think it should be. Very few devs actuall stick to the true meaning of making these great games for the console they were made for (i.e. Valve and HL2, I know it went multiplatform but it took nothing away from the PC version of HL2 and ep 1 and 2 IMO).

I have CoH now, I was wondering if I should get Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War, Sins of a Solar Empire, or just the cheaper expansion to CoH, OF. Sins looks like a nice change of pace, but might have too long battles for my taste. any suggestions?

As for the case, It's new. Here it is: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811145047

I just reapplied it, using less; but this time I spread it out on both the heatsink and the CPU, but not very much at all. I am using Arctic Silver Ceramique, they didn't have the silver 5 for less than the 20 dollar tubes. It's still idling around 40-42, Haven't tried it with games yet. Maybe it just runs hot.

It could have been my paste. I prepped the heatsink by putting a dot on it and spreading it around, but the I put a rather large line across the CPU. Should I take it off and repaste? It also might be that I have a case fan that came with my case, and it runs really hot as well; I can feel the air coming out the vent.

I just bought a new Zalman 7700 AlCu. I installed it on my q6600 un-overlocked, and when I turn on my PC and it idles out, it's around mid 30's, which is good. The problem is, I run games (like the Witcher) and it gets back up to 65-69. When I let it idle out after a game, it settles around 52. I thought getting this over my stock cooler would be much better...
