I would like to think that it does add a lot to the overall gameplay experience. Imagine playing Metroid Prime: Hunters at a wifi spot in some cafee and playing against your friends, or spending some time at the beach in your town in Animal Crossing: Wild World with a friend, or competing with a friend or random people from around the world (or regional if you so choose) in Mario Kart DS. Playing the single player game can be fun but even more fun can be derived from playing with a friend...who may be on the other side of the world from you.aries8269
but would you pick the ds game with worse graphics and controls with multiplayer over a console version of the same game without?
and im talking like the exact same game. like if mariokart ds had the tracks as double dash and no additional content.
as you may or may not know, some games on the nintendo ds allow some multiplayer gameplay with only one copy of the game. the person without the game downloads a temporary and partial portion sent from the person with the game card. they then play a limited version of the game. (the data is lost when the system is turned off)
do you think that this would be a feasible and worthwhile feature for the xbox 360?
