I think vice city was alot better, but as this was the first 3d one to reinvent the series I can see why they chose it. Cool I guess......

The graphics are quite a bit better from looking at the screen shots, but dont look like they are any where near what they should be or what was promised. Im really sick of promo videos that promise what you are seeing is real and then seeing it take a 25-40% hit 2+ yeras later when it finally comes out. It is still in the beta and I would guess some of the bells and whistles are turned off to keep the game playable. Many times the last few months in dev are for streaming lining and getting the frame rate up to snuff so Ill hope that has something to do with what we are seeing. Either way even with a few more bells and whistles couldnt help that much, so halo 3 better recapture what Halo 1 had. Im not saying it will bomb by any means, I wouldnt expect less then an 8.5, but it will pretty much loose its killer app status in my book if it doesnt recature the awe the first one had.

That is a heck of an upgrade for the graphics, too bad its like 3-4 years too late.
