turn-based Baldur's Gate-style FTW
dont fix something that's not broken.
maybe it sucked on the consoles with pausing, I don't know, because the only version worth playing is PC and its fine there.
wow I remembered when the PS3 just got released this game was hyped a lot as one of PS3's premium exclusive (along with games like Lair and Heavenly Sword), I guess opinions changed a lot...
uhh no, it's not even BioWare's best game this whole generation. (Dragon Age)
dont get me wrong, its still a damn good game, but I like when my Bioware games have more RPG elements.
right now im playing the PS3 because im obsessed by MLB09, this will change to PC when I get dragon age later today.
not surprising that Dragon Age is better on PC, mods are almost essential. They're the sole reason why I finished Baldur's gate 2 + TOB for like the 20th time last summer.
but still, 1.0 drop is huge for the 360, also one of the rare multiplats where 360 is worse than ps3
what's wrong with the "old-turn based fighting system"? don't fix if it ain't broken. Baldur's Gate is the greatest RPG series of all times, and if Dragon Age has even only 10% of the greatness of Baldur's Gate (doubtful), it will easily win RPG of the year.Let's all be honest although Bioware has succeeded in making another great RPG with Dragon Age:Origins, there is still nothing new or innovative about it, in fact it's the direct opposite they've reverted back to the old turn based fighting system.
While Demons Souls is the most innovative and challenging RPG ever made, but it will be passed over because "From Software & Atlus " are not household names like Bioware.
Well i guess we'll have to wait and see on December 12th when Spike TV VGA awards come on but no matter if Bioware does win, anyone who's honest and has played both knows which is truly the better game.
