My local Gamestop had 10 preorders available of which I was number 5 on that list. The line quickly went out the door so I'm glad I was able to nab one.
Wouldn't surprise me if many of those buyers are counting on low availability from Nintendo which has been the norm during their launches as of late. Buy them now for $70, then sell them at a higher price to those who don't like the joycons when the Switch launches.
Going by Nintendo's portable history, I'm just going to wait for the Switch "XL" or whatever it's going to be called "when" it eventually comes out. I can see it now. Slightly bigger screen, slightly higher resolution, newer gen Nvidia chip. Happened with the GameBoy/DS models, and I'm fairly sure it'll happen with this "portable hybrid" as well.
