@plaintomato You do realize that not everybody is going to be like you? Not everybody has unlimited money, like you seem to do. It would be fine for the cutting edge if they would implement the same contracts as MS wants to do with it's ''Pay 99$ on a 360 now, and then pay the rest later''.
Is the next generation of consoles even worth anymore? Because I haven't heard or seen anything about innovation, which is, like, the sole reason for consoles. No need to upgrade the hardware, if there's no innovation coming with it, PC's will outperform consoles anyway. So far, it looks like Nintendo is the only one bringing up some major innovation, even if it's just a iPad hooked to a console. It's at least more innovation than sensitive controllers (What the **** MS?).
Seriously now, the next gen of consoles, can't just be a hardware upgrade. If that is the case, we don't need consoles anymore, it's not the days of the Atari 2600, or the days of the NES, we can play proper games on our PC's with ease.
@gonzo22222 Nintendo has never really went into a ''direction''. At one moment they might go to graphics, like the N64. Or the next moment they do motion gaming, like the Wii. But now, they changed their direction again, creating a mixture of hardcore and casual, which looks like the Wii U is going to be.
And hand-helds, they have always been a Nintendo thing, remember the GameBoy? I don't think that hand-helds are really a direction, it's more of a core aspect of Nintendo.
Nonetheless, don't judge the Wii U as it is depicted by rumours or even confirmations, Nintendo has always had something up it's sleeve to turn the gaming market upside down. And who knows, maybe the Wii U will be the perfect console, but don't take it too serious, until you are holding the console in your hands. But one thing is for sure, the Wii U is going to be a great console.
I fucking hate all of you. For the sole reason that most of you are irrationally negative about Nintendo.
The first time they turn to casual gamers to make the market bigger, hate em'. They make the most innovation in the market, hate em'. They are the one's that forged the current day gamer scene into what it is now, hate em'.
Either there's a lot of children in the comments section, a lot of PS3/360 only fans, or idiots. I'm happy to see some people tolerate Nintendo, if that is even the correct terminology, because they haven't done anything that should be ''tolerated''.
If I, as a Nintendo fan, can respect all of the platforms, then you can to. That is, if you have the sufficient amount of braincells, which some people here don't seem to have.
@Leir_Bag Don't forget the Super Smash Bros. crossover, if HAL Laboratories and Project Sora don't get it right, no one can, and we should just throw away the idea of handheld to big screen games.
