If Ghost Recon:Future Soldier could do it, sort of, The Bureau:XCOM Declassified can do it too. Look at future soldier, the icons are the same ones as XCOM:EU. All you really should need to do is take Mass Effect, and Ghost Recon:Future Soldier and smash them together, throw in the enemies from XCOM, and there you go, job done. If that's what they've done I will be frankly overjoyed, it will be my game of the year without doubt.

Homefront with Nazis, and Mechs, will it be Asymmetric co-op like every other game this year? That combined with a horde mode, and multiplayer that's expected to carry the game for months until the next big multiplayer phenomenon drops, and there's your game. Only question is how forgettable will the campaign mode be?

I've missed Feedbackula, thanks for bringing it back. The Dia de Los Muertos theme may be lost on people, but I get it. Is Johnny's skull full of sweets now?

Not Star Trek, it's JJ Trek. That said, we haven't gotten to fly shuttle craft in real Star Trek games, so maybe that bit is worth it.

I found this review to be quite Dickensian, far too many syllables uttered where brevity would have been desirable.

You can't win with a game like this. Super fans of a particular hero will argue that if only their hero had their magic tech from comic book XXX they'd win. You can write a story, but it's still about the question, if Comic book character X fought Character Y, who would win. Still, it should give the writers of "The Big Bang Theory" some fresh storylines.

I disagree not with what he said, but his percentages. In my estimation GFX is only one part of creating immersion. Sound design, hud design, characterisation, and the story also play into immersion. In an FPS GFX go a long way toward immersion because the player must be emotionally involved in the world, in a 3rd Person game, the player should be emotionally involved in the character as much as the world so GFX don't matter as much.

@sweet_jcs @jpnelson82 you're surprised by it? Why? as an atheist, you should know that religion without moderation is not a good thing, it leads to mass murder, and it's all justified, because the man in the silly hat said so. As a progressive, you should also be aware that the US, and indeed most of the Western European world was what we might today dub racist, or paternalist at the turn of the twentieth century. that you are says you're either unaware of or unwilling to confront that facet of history.

@rsj2 The problem with tautologies is that they're ALWAYS wrong. So, it stands at speaker's column with a giant tannoy and shouts, "hey, racism is part of history and society," it doesn't get bonus credit for that, ResE 6 was a meditation on our mediated and medicated modern society, and it didn't beat you on the head to do it.
