I cited Martin Luther as a religious reformer. This guy claims he wants to rid the world of Religion, which is quite the religious reform. Because there aren't any famous Athiestic reformers (Hmm... maybe that means something), I chose to refer to Luther for the above reason.

Fair point. i wasn't being narky with you, i just think our atheist topic creator is at the other end of the spectrum =P

I understand perfectly. Martin Luther's comparison to a militant athiest is a bit of a stretch, as Luther was a deeply religious man. But, like I said before, it's hard to compare the OP to any famous reformer as no such athiestic ones exist.

O rly? :)

RIP my dear

[QUOTE="jpzer12"]Did I not say earlier to spare me your opinions? dhyce

Because what I said was clearly a matter of my opinion and not the simple truth of the matter.

lol, alrighty then, walk down your yellow brick road convincing yourself that you're this unique super genius with the true voice of intellectual reason.

again with your unjustified condescending tone.

You really think you're making a point?

3) Letter to a Christian nation - Sam Harris

Richard Dawkins is an evolutionary biologist, it's natural to assume that he will be an Atheist. Science and Religion clash quite dramatically. And quoting two Sam Harris books suggests you've not really read up on the issue much past these two authors. I had the impression from Sam Harris that while he is intolerant of religion to a degree, it's mainly the naivity it subjects some people to, like the idea Jesus will have his second coming in the next 50 years. He's against creationism being mandatory in schools, not against people having faith in general. You'd do well to learn the idea of people being entitled to their own opinions.

I know that people are entitled to their opinions and I respect that. Doesn't stop me from thinking they are FOOLS.

Then keep it to yourself, no one cares if you think they are fools.

Fools don't like to be called fools and stop listening, I AM AWARE.

Fools don't like to be called fools/lol exactly which makes you the fool.

ok, I really don't see where you're going. elaborate.

I'm quite flattered, i didn't get a spiteful post back.

You made a point that was on topic and was insightful, why would I spite someone of your brilliance?
