I really enjoy the game, but it does get repetitive and is mostly eye candy. I think the only reason the repetition doesn't bore me to tears is because I grew up playing video games that were totally repeptitive, with each level just being a harder version than the one before. I do think this game has a lot of unused potential; hopefully they will rectify that in the sequel.
First off, just make sure it can get plenty of air-flow to it. Second, if you use an after-market aircooler you may void the warrenty which is now good for 3 years for RRoD. Third, there is nothing to worry about, if you do get RRoD, just send it in to Microsoft and they will replace it.
That's like saying I'm not gonna buy a car because someday something on it will break. 70-80% of all 360s are fine. For the ones that aren't, Microsoft will fix it for free. Oh, and eventually the thing will break in some other way, just like your car.
You have to tell the receiver what network to pick up. This is done in the system settings section of the dashboard (the full dashboard, not the half screen guide that comes up when you press the center of the controller).
I buy 80% of my games used and after the price has dropped. The only games I buy new are things I am dying to play (like GTAIV will be bought new) or games with a large multiplayer experience (like sports games).
