after playing Gow2 on Ps2 and how good it looked , it makes me wonder, the way the halo 3 beta looks when i played it, it looks like it couldve been made on the original Xbox if bungie wanted to squeeze the power from it like the developers of Gow2

and please dont say omg graphix dont matta!, cause the gameplay sucked too

ChInXsTah

you mean how good those gow2 CGI looked??

I bet you never played halo, even don't have a xbox .not mention a x360 or halo3 demo.

come on ,show us your x360 gametag to prove you have played that demo.

[QUOTE="septicvirus"]

It really does look pretty good,

why the hell does it look so much better than any other pictures ever shown???

Hoobinator

Probably some more graphical effects and assets have been added to the beta since previously shown. But it's also to do with off screen pics from digital cameras. They basically make the game look better by hiding flaws and giving better contrast.

reminds me those heavenly sword offscreens:D

anyway, I don't think it looks better than before unless people never seen the trailer in high def, they are the same online multi beta demo. maybe single mode looks way better when it released.

EA Developer: Xbox 360 will triumph over PS3 due to performance and support

An EA developer has called in to let us know that he believes the Xbox 360 will triumph over the PS3 due to its better performance and more rounded support. These claims come on the revelation that development of Army of Two on the Xbox 360 manages to yield a maximum of 60fps while the PS3 version struggles to reach 30fps currently. Army of Two is expected to hit retail shelves during November.

Their having a harder time developing for the PS3? Is that news to you? Also, there's no proof saying UE3 runs better on 360 or PS3. I would guess that it runs better on the 360 because of the design being close to a PC. But you have no proof to back that up, just the same assumptions I have.Ibacai

I'm not saying ue3 working better om which.

but some cows in this thread already claimed

epic interview qbout unreal3 on ps3 and xb360

quote:

Are you simultaneously shipping them, or will any versions ship early?

Morris: We sure would like to. We have a lot of expertise on the 360 and the PC, and so that's allowing us to look at those platforms very seriously. Sony has provided us great support on the PS3. We're hoping that's the case, but it's difficult for us to predict really when it's going to be done. Simultaneous shipping has a lot of advantages, like combined marketing budgets. We'll get great TV ads and spots all over the place, and we really have a big incentive to exploit that. We also want to hit Christmas. Gears is a great game, but hitting Christmas really allowed us to maximize that, and we want to hit Christmas as well. So, we're motivated.

GI: At CES, Bill Gates talked about Shadowrun being able to play PC versus Xbox 360. Are you going to allow for that in UTIII?

Morris: There's certainly no technical reasons why we couldn't do interplay between platforms, but the one thing with that is the input between the two. We're a fast-paced action game. With the mouse, you're looking here, and then you swing over here, and you stop and you swing up there and you stop. You've got all these quick movements, and I don't know that a 360 controller is ever going to have an analogy to that. If it's not fun or balanced to do it, we don't do it.

The Live network also makes it not a trivial task to make it integrate with the open network of the PC and the PS3. We're very interested to see how Shadowrun does it and if people will want that. As a consumer of games myself, with Battlestations: Midway I'll violate my rule, because I really love Battlestations: Midway. There's a great PC version and there's a great 360 version, but I want to play with the biggest number of players. I want the biggest server pool. I don't want to have to decide and artificially split my audience between the two. I'm going to go where the bigger audience is. With UT, I don't want to have the PC players to play with just half of the UT players just because of the platform. There's a real motivation to make it interchangeable with one big pool of servers out there that everybody can play in. If I can have a hundred servers with great ping to me by having all those servers shared, that's really compelling to me. Oftentimes, you'll see something like Battlefront 2, which is another game I love - there are much more players on Xbox, more servers, than there ever were on PC. As a player, I want to play better servers with more people

"PS3 did not make a good start, which will make the transition from the old game console to the next generation system more prolonged than we had earlier thought," Takasu said.

Because of sluggish sales, Namco Bandai plans to release only 23 titles for PS3 in the current fiscal year, compared to 24 games to be sold to Microsoft Corp's Xbox360 and 37 titles to be released for Nintendo Co Ltd's Wii console
