I don't think it's because we had less, it was because they were made with more creative effort. Games were something new back then, an entire generation of game creators wanted to try something new. That's not the case today, games as a whole haven't changed much. Shooters, sports games & musical games are mostly what people want these days.

I'm going to say Kefka from Final Fantasy VI. The Dancing Mad theme really added to the battle, plus Kefka was damn hard when I first fought him.

No, let it live. I like it, as well as many others. It's not the best fps, but it should definitely stay.

Wasn't it dying in like.... 2001?

  • GTA IV: It just felt stripped overall compared to San Andreas.
  • Portal: I don't like puzzles.

GTA 4? Really? Well, I liked it. It was something new in the series.

I hope that people don't hate for saying this, but I also vote for NES Super Mario Bros. Controlling the jump was hard as hell in that game. Mario Bros 2 & 3 improved it 10x fold.

It's the first Killzone for the PS2. You as much nudge the analog & the cross-hair goes all over the place!

I don't have names, per se, but lately I'm not keen on first-person shooters. Although, this could be because I'm burnt out from CrossFire, Killzone & Call of Duty.
